Daniel McCullough of Silver Walks and Athan Maroulis of NØIR have just released their haunting cover of Cyberaktif’s “Nothing Stays.”
This NØIR vs Silver Walks collaborative interpretation of the Wax Trax! classic is the first new material from either entity in quite a long time.
A curious sign of the times, no one involved in the recording of “Nothing Stays” was ever face to face.
Athan’s vocals were cut in New York City, Valentina Veil’s (VV & The Void) backing vocals were waxed in Berlin, the music was programmed by Daniel in Lancaster, PA, the single was mixed in LA by Dan Evans (Die Warzau) and mastered by Eric Oehler (KLACK) in Madison, WI. Additionally, the EP boasts beat-heavy remixes by S Y Z Y G Y X, genCAB & KLACK.
