DERO GOI, the former frontman of the pioneering Industrial and 'Neue Deutsche Härte' band OOMPH!, has just released the captivating synth wave tune “Clickbait,” his eagerly awaited first digital audio single and video as a solo artist. DERO GOI himself recently stated, “These images and lyrics reflect my views on the prevailing zeitgeist, which aims to come across as loud, flashy, shrill, and wacky as possible in order to squeeze out every second of attention. Sometimes, this feels like idiocracy in its final stage. For the most part, everything revolves around the ego, ego, ego. Visually, this senseless and ultimately narcissistic self-obsession is crowned with colourful sarcasm ad nauseam.” That said, don't expect the singer to hold back or shut up. DERO GOI's debut album will be released via Dependent Records early next year. “Clickbait” is available as a digital 4-track single including the previously unreleased B-side “'One of Us” with remixes by APOPTYGMA BERZERK as well as NEON RUST and is available through Dependent on all digital and streaming platforms.

He’s just ripped off Genius by Pitchshifter, an altogether better song which didn’t need this half-arsed rehash.
