Welcome to our weekly round-up of forthcoming releases. It’s Happy Birthday to us today, as two years ago we started trading – after deciding to throw away our social life, sleep and a decent income and re-launch Music Non Stop.

NICK CAVE returns with the second studio album from GRINDERMAN, “Grinderman 2”, available in three formats. “Heathen Child”, the first track available from the album, is a special limited edition double A-side 12″ single on coloured vinyl, and includes a poster and the bonus track “Super Heathen Child”, a collaboration with the legendary guitarist ROBERT FRIPP.

To celebrate their 30th year together, UNDERWORLD return triumphantly with their first new album in almost three years. “Barking” is the duo’s sixth studio album and the first time they have collaborated with other producers. From the first undulating pulses of submariner bass, the first vocals – soft like a whisper in the ear – and the first fizz of hi-hats that force along the pace, the sound is unmistakably UNDERWORLD.

“Dirty Cash” is the new EP from REAPER, the solo project of Vasi Vallis (NAMNAMBULU, FROZEN PLASMA). Actually, he calls it an EP, but it is almost an album, as it comes with a massive eleven songs for a MCD price! On the title track, this EP features the vocal talents of Pete from labelmates SHIV-R, and there are some great bonustracks, such as a brand new remix of the recent club hit “Robuste Maschine”, as well as amazing remixes by NOISUF-X, SYNCROTEK and EISENFUNK.

“Believer” is the latest track to be taken from GOLDFRAPP’s latest album “Head First” and comes with a fabulous remix package including mixes by VINCE CLARKE, SUBWAY, JORIS VOORN and DAVIDE ROSSI.

IRIS finally present their fourth official studio album “Blacklight”, and make no mistake, it is yet another masterpiece in electronic pop! Nine MASSIVE songs – actually: HYMNS! Arriving just before the album, “Closer to Real” is the lead single from “Blacklight”. Four new smashing electropop tunes on a limited single. Be fast!, the single will NOT be repressed.

“Reconnected Live” documents one of pop’s most anticipated tours: in the summer of 2008 VINCE CLARKE and ALISON MOYET reunited for the first time in over 25 years. Featuring classic tracks from YAZOO’s albums “Upstairs at Eric’s” and “You and Me Both”, including “Only You”, “Don’t Go” and “Situation”, plus tracks such as “Nobody’s Diary”, performed live for the first time ever.

With the single “Seventeen” and their come back album “Inner Zone Journey” X MARKS THE PEDWALK returned after a musical break of almost fifteen years, followed by a unique re-union concert at this year’s Wave Gotik Treffen. The stage appearance was filmed to create an outstanding documentary of the band’s great history! Old and new material mixed together to form a wonderful ‘best of’ set. The “Visual Journey” DVD also includes an interview, backstage footage, a picture gallery and videoclips for “Seventeen” and “Danger”.

JESUS ON EXTASY return with a new album – “No Gods”. “We wanted our music to sound harder, more rocking. Show steel, sweat and muscles, as we say in the Ruhr area.” Judge for yourself!

“Repeat & Follow” is the brand new single from the UK’s INERTIA. The single contains seven remixes and a bonus track “Fallout”. The physical version of this release will be limited to 100 copies only and each will be individually hand numbered.

Three releases from late 2009 from US label VENDETTA MUSIC now. “Like a Machine” is a distorted, hard-driving, layered, uplifting, intense and adventurous mind-fucking set of tracks with the original MONO-AMINE sound. If you want your music to be hard-driving, adventurous, uplifting and intense, you will need to get this album!

“A Silent Mantra of Rage” is the third release from Southern California’s premier rhythmic noise act, W.A.S.T.E. (I like them!!). Consisting of twelve all-new tracks and a bonus disc with previously unreleased tracks, the long-awaited versions of “Omega 3” and “I Don’t Give a Fuck”, plus re-mixes by XOTOX, MONO NO AWARE, C/A/T, ALTER DER RUINE and many more! MNS recommended!

“Babylon” strays from the normal industrial path. While maintaining the harshness of previous releases, THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF EUROPE mix dubstep, EBM, dancehall, rhythmic industrial, urban, drum’n’bass, techno, and even more funk into an explosive cocktail of dark rhythmic funk-industrial.

After 00TZ 00TZ’s very successful debut release, “Death by Numbers”, they now hit even harder with a more mature follow-up release entitled “Frequency Damage”. It incorporates harsh electro, industrial and EBM styles of music, while creating a powerhouse blast of dancefloor-pounding beats and melodic synth rhythms, filled with memorable samples and thought-provoking lyrics behind dark flirtatious vocals.

“Burn It Down” is the debut release from BERLIN BLACK AND THE SHADES OF GREY, a brand new project from former SCREAMING BANSHEE AIRCREW guitarist Chris Tuke. The act delivers an elegant mix of post-punk, glam, goth and new-wave that wowed the audience at DV8Fest recently. With songs like “Burn It Down” capturing the energy and excitement of their live performances, this CD is highly recommended.

The new 2CD label compilation, “2010 Hands”, features once again thirty exclusive new tracks by ten artists, from rhythm’n’noise and IDM over experimental techno to dark drum’n’bass. Artists include S.K.E.T., GREYHOUND, GEISTFORM and MASCHINENKRIEGER KR52 vs DISRAPTOR.

Underworld Barking Review
To celebrate their 30th year together, UNDERWORLD return triumphantly with their first new album in almost three years. “Barking” is the duo’s sixth studio album and the first time Karl Hyde and Rick Smith have collaborated with other producers. The record enlists the help of techno wizards MARK KNIGHT and D. RAMIREZ (“Always Loved a Film”, “Between Stars”) plus a whole cast of brilliant and like-minded producers from across the spectrum of modern dance music, each adding personal touches to the band’s original material. Enter Welsh drum’n’bass artist HIGH CONTRAST (“Scribble”, “Moon in Water”), four-time Grammy winner DUBFIRE (“Bird 1”, “Grace”), Bristol-based dubstep producers APPLEBLIM and AL TOURETTES (“Hamburg Hotel”), plus long term UNDERWORLD team member DARREN PRICE (“Between Stars”).

The question is, with such a glittering cast of extras, how does it actually sound? From the first undulating pulses of submariner bass, the first vocals – soft like a whisper in the ear – and the first fizz of hi-hats that force along the pace, the sound is unmistakably UNDERWORLD. Electronics wrapped effortlessly around songs; streams of consciousness lyrics that form indelible images; a perfectly balanced mix of melody and rhythm. UNDERWORLD’s sixth studio album is a thundering return to form, although it’s fair to say that the band responsible have never really been below par. Like the bomb on the Icarus II in Sunshine, this new process of working had the effect of not so much reigniting a creativity within the band as exploding it into myriad new fragments. And through all of this, brilliantly and uniquely, it sounds just like UNDERWORLD.

So, thirty years in and by working with a series of handpicked co-conspirators you make the best album of your career? It was a long shot, but for UNDERWORLD in 2010, maybe playing away was just the trick. This just leaves the question of who they’ll get into bed with next time. Roll on album seven.

Iris Blacklight Review
Their story of success started with the release of their debut CD “Disconnect”. A few years later, Reagan Jones (singer) hooked up with new member Andrew Sega (music), and started a whole new chapter in the band’s history. Adding some guitars to the mix, and taking the production in a more experimentally electronic direction, IRIS released “Awakening” in 2003. It was memorably organic, powerful, and really showcased Reagan’s strong songwriting. This would also be the first Iris release on Andrew’s new label, Diffusion Records.

The success of this record led to a European release deal with Infacted Recordings, a full tour of Germany and Switzerland, and festival dates in Sweden and the UK. Followed in 2005 by “Wrath”, rock-oriented songs collided with electronic beats and evocative, atmospheric soundscapes. The first single, “Appetite” went to number 1 on mainstream radio in Poland, and the band set off again for more European shows, festivals in Moscow and London, and tourdates with electro-pop luminaries such as DE/VISION and MESH.

In 2010 IRIS now finally present their fourth official studio album, and make no mistake, it is yet another masterpiece in electronic pop! Nine MASSIVE songs – actually: HYMNS! By the way… “Violator” by DEPECHE MODE also contained nine songs…

Yazoo Reconnected Live Review
“Reconnected Live” documents one of pop’s most anticipated tours: in the summer of 2008 Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet reunited for the first time in over 25 years. The Times said “Clarke has unobtrusively retooled the band’s music for the digital age, making their vintage 1980s synthesizer ditties sound crisp, fluid and timeless” while The Guardian noted, “YAZOO’s first tour in 26 years finds the chemistry behind their smash hits unchanged.”

Produced by YAZOO, recorded by Martin Hildred and mixed by Vince Clarke, “Reconnected Live” features classic tracks from YAZOO’s albums “Upstairs at Eric’s” and “You and Me Both”, including “Only You”, “Don’t Go” and “Situation” plus tracks such as “Nobody’s Diary”, performed live for the first time ever.

X Marks The Pedwalk Visual Journey Review
When X MARKS THE PEDWALK started in 1987 under the former band name SCARECROW, no-one would have ever imagined the path their musical career would take. Often referred to as the ‘German SKINNY PUPPY’, this band has certainly set the standard in the EBM/electro world – a true force in innovation and catchy dance songs! Album releases such as “Human Desolation”, “Drawback” and “Meshwork” became true collector’s items and are essential to the collection of any electro/EBM enthusiast!

With the single “Seventeen” and their come back album “Inner Zone Journey” Svren Ni-Arb and Raive Yarx returned after a musical break of almost fifteen years. Re-releases of cult hits such as “Abattoir”, “Cenotaph” and “Facer” paved the way for a great comeback! In addition, with the cooperation of the German concert agency INMOVE, Infacted Recordings managed to get the band together for a unique re-union concert at this year’s famous Wave Gotik Treffen festival in Leipzig. The stage appearance was filmed with six cameras and cut together to create an outstanding documentary of the band’s great history! Old and new material mixed together to form a wonderful ‘best of’ set, including all of their most popular songs.

Also including an interview, backstage footage, a picture gallery and videoclips for “Seventeen” and “Danger”, this DVD has turned out as a true must-have collector’s item! The first visual document by X MARKS THE PEDWALK in the band’s long history!

Jesus On Extasy No Gods Review
“Synthesizers lend themselves just as much to being smashed as guitars. Perhaps even more.” JESUS ON EXTASY’s rollercoaster career has left its marks on the vocalist who, together with co-founder Chai Deveraux, embarked in 2005 on the mission of packaging suffering and love into digital rock songs. After JOE had shared the stage with other antichrist superstars such as MARILYN MANSON, PROJECT PITCHFORK, TOOL and SKINNY PUPPY, “the danger of losing touch with reality was great”, Dorian confesses today.

The digital dandies returned to planet Earth after their exhilaration waned, informing their fans of this fact in the title track of their third album, “No Gods”. Sound guru Tim Schuldt was asked to channel the band’s energetic fields – “the right man at the right time”, the vocalist with the double D feels. “We wanted our music to sound harder, more rocking. Show steel, sweat and muscles, as we say in the Ruhr area.” Their new motto is to take life into their own hands and rebel if need be. “The true heroes are all those who won’t let themselves be blinded and who continue to fight against the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. It’s high time somebody set BP’s headquarters on fire.” JOE are bringing the powder keg. Anybody got a light?

Mono-Amine Like a Machine Review
“Like a Machine” is a distorted, hard-driving, layered, uplifting, intense and adventurous mind-fucking set of tracks with the original MONO-AMINE sound. The tracks were on the one hand born out of the discontent that average human behavior has grown to the level of a bunch of fucking sheep, and that our systems goals are just about retaining power and forcing the people to think like preprogrammed machines. On the other hand, “Like a Machine” is intended to make you dance, lose your mind and bring some joy to the minds of the few who appreciate this kind of electronic warfare. If you want your music to be hard-driving, adventurous, uplifting and intense, you will need to get this new MONO-AMINE album!

Includes the underground hit songs “Economics Maintain This Situation” and “If I Started…” previously released on vinyl through DarkforceNL Records.

W.A.S.T.E. A Silent Mantra of Rage Review
We all have mantras we say in our heads silently everyday. Mantras to get through and tolerate our daily lives; good or bad. “A Silent Mantra of Rage” is a description that could be put on any political figure, any blue-collar worker, or anyone who has ever been in a relationship that they know deep down is wrong and/or is doing the wrong thing without choice for reasons that everyone has to endure. You have to put up with your boss on a daily basis; allowing them to cut you down to size so you can pay the bills for a house containing a partner who doesn’t respect you. You are working for a government who you know is corrupt and doesn’t truly give a shit about your well-being unless it fills their palms with gold. It’s about a realization that comes to everyone’s life at some point and a reality we all have to swallow forever in order to survive, because there is no escape.

The third release from Southern California’s premier rhythmic noise act, W.A.S.T.E., “A Silent Mantra of Rage” consists of twelve all-new tracks featuring “Marked for Extinction” and “The Death March”. Also included is a bonus disc with previously unreleased tracks, the long-awaited versions of “Omega 3” and “I Don’t Give a Fuck”, plus re-mixes by XOTOX, MONO NO AWARE, CONTAMINANT, C/A/T, MONO-AMINE, ALTER DER RUINE, THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF EUROPE, and many more!

The Peoples Republic of Europe Babylon Review
So you saw “Zeitgeist”. Maybe you have even read the statement of the Unabomber. Are we being manipulated? Is there a grand scheme behind everything? Perhaps not, but when big groups of people, coupled with technology, create a society, this is what we get. Fair? Most certainly not! Dangerous? Perhaps. But consider the alternative. Do we really want to return to the Stone Age because we are ‘not living in natural time?’ Do we really want to endure hardship, poverty, starvation, disease and the likes because some people believe this is not the way we are supposed to live? Of course not. Therefore: “Babylon”. We support the system. We are the system. We live the system. This is what we want. No matter the cost, Zion must fall. BABYLON WILL RISE.

“Babylon” strays from the normal industrial path. While maintaining the harshness of previous releases, TPROE mix dubstep, EBM, dancehall, rhythmic industrial, urban, drum’n’bass, techno, and even more funk into an explosive cocktail of dark rhythmic funk-industrial. Straight up four-to-the-floor technoid industrial, harsh dancehall, industrial breakbeat, dub-noise-step, violent drum’n’bass; it is all there! Eleven songs, 50 minutes, of pure concentrated progressive industrial. The bomb.

00tz 00tz Frequency Damage Review
After 00TZ 00TZ’s (yes, spelled with zeroes) very successful debut release, “Death by Numbers”, they now hit even harder with a more mature follow-up release entitled “Frequency Damage”. This album now features full vocals by Krysta Veronica Button.

“Frequency Damage” incorporates harsh electro, industrial and EBM styles of music, while creating a powerhouse blast of dancefloor-pounding beats and melodic synth rhythms, filled with memorable samples and thought-provoking lyrics behind dark flirtatious vocals.

Songs like “Metamorphosis”, “Human Condition”, “Change the World” and “Eyes” will be sure to fill industrial dancefloors everywhere.

David Sylvian Sleepwalkers Review
In the 00s, DAVID SYLVIAN produced two of his strongest and most solitary statements, “Blemish” and “Manafon”. But those records don’t tell the whole story. In the same period, Sylvian created a more playful body of work: a series of collaborations and side projects with leading talents of pop and improv, electronic and contemporary classical music. The best of these recordings are gathered here on “Sleepwalkers”, meticulously sequenced and remixed: the fruits of one-off meetings and lifelong partnerships, they jump from bliss to intrigue, romance to sensuality, as arch-experiments lead into the lushest pop.

The single “World Citizen (I Won’t Be Disappointed)”, written with RYUICHI SAKAMOTO, is a sublime example, with an impeccable melody and lyrics warmed by Sylvian’s gorgeous tenor. Sylvian has worked with Sakamoto for close to three decades. By contrast, on “Pure Genius”, a collaboration with Chris Vrenna aka TWEAKER, he sounds like he’s walked into a heist flick, singing the part of a delusional, dangerous bedroom genius. As Sylvian explains, tracks like this “give me a chance to write in a way that’s completely non-personal, playful. It’s an exercise of some kind, working within the parameters of a given assignment.”

Sylvian’s longest-running partnership is with his brother, drummer and electronics artist STEVE JANSEN, and two of their projects find their way here: the NINE HORSES trio with BURNT FRIEDMAN, and Jansen’s debut album (and Samadhisound release) “Slope”. “Sleepwalkers” also spotlights the innovators who contributed to “Manafon” and “Blemish”. CHRISTIAN FENNESZ hangs a crackling, shimmering curtain behind the vocal on “Transit”, matching his signature mass of sui generis sounds to Sylvian’s stately performance, and the title track began with an instrumental handed to Sylvian by MARTIN BRANDLMAYR of POLWECHSEL, soon after the first recording session for “Manafon”. Spite crackles in the gaps between the percussion, and onkyo artists TOSHIMARU NAKAMURA and SACHIKO M set the stage for the scathing lyrics in the chorus.

Like 2000’s “Everything and Nothing”, “Sleepwalkers” is a retrospective of the past decade – but it’s also an eye-opening complement to his solo releases. As Sylvian explains, “Some collaborations seem to be a one-off exchange but you can never be too certain of that fact. Others have been long term. Ryuichi comes to mind as, of course, does Steve. And then there’s others with whom you hope to continue working as you feel you’ve barely scratched the surface. Other times offers come out of the blue, welcome, inspired. Regardless, it’s wonderful to have so many possibilities to juggle with. Each collaboration seems timely. It’s as if there’s a rightness to the exchange at a given moment in time.”

Since Nicklas and Christian first joined forces, KITE have managed to reach further than most bands do in a lifespan. NOW AVAILABLEEnd.User Left [Re-Issue] Review
END.USER is one of the cornerstones of the modern eclectic electronic music. Support from BBC Radio’s Mary Anne Hobbs and a list of DJs too long to fit on a one-sheet, from many different genres, and releases across many platforms have built him into a juggernaut. A usually prolific artist, having recorded for Hymen, Ad Noiseam, Sublight, Cargo, and many others, he took 2007 off, working on something very special – his debut album on Ohm Resistance. Having relocated to San Francisco, a new lease in his creative power was demonstrated adroitly over the entire album, which shows the greatest range of any album in END.USER’s career to date. Intensely personal, intensely musical, and just plain INTENSE at points, the album showcases a spectacular array of skills across the board. From radio play material (“Black Light”) with Aussie vocalist Sol Thomas, to collaborations with and remixes by influential electronic acts SCORN and COUNTERSTRIKE, to absolutely stunning, no boundaries drum’n’bass, the album is diverse and full of powerful compositions. Compelling from start to finish, “Left” was the culmination of more than a year’s work.

Obszon Geschopf Erection Body Mutilated Review
OBSZON GESCHOPF, the ‘madman’ of France, has completely torn the doors off and pulled out all the stops, to hit you everywhere at once with this brutal double-disc extravaganza of pure hardcore electro heaven. Of all things, OG decides to make an electronica tribute of sorts to serial killers like John Wayne Gacy, Albert Fish, Ed Gein … ah yes, all good friends NOT to have. But they can become your buddies for sure if you pick up this amazing double-disc set. A bit of background: OG had actually thrown in the towel because his new creation had been delayed by his label and there was no movement toward getting it released. In frustration, he declared himself musically DEAD. But not so! He was properly resurrected by BLC PRODUCTIONS and will soon show the world how gut-wrenching (though often guitar-riddled) electro really sounds, with a tip of the hat back to the old masters of coldwave electronic. Believe us, hundreds of thousands of fans cannot be wrong. Perhaps the most magnificent hardcore album of the decade, Disc 1 presents all original material, and Disc 2 bangs out fifteen remix hits from greats like HEIMATAERDE, JOACHIM WITT, OUT OUT, CYBER AXIS and more. A real treasure for the hardcore dark electro fans!

Various Artists Interbreeding X: Kagefighters Review
The now world-renowned “Interbreeding” compilation series returns with its long-awaited TENTH edition, soon to join over 30,000 copies of the “Interbreeding” series now in circulation. Staying true to its formula for success, “Interbreeding X” mixes high quality and high velocity tracks from newcomers on the electro scene, such as TERRORFREQUENZ, REAXION GUERILLA and STAHLNEBEL, with more veteran performers like ESR and RUN LEVEL ZERO, delivering one club smash after another, with almost every track an exclusive for the “Interbreeding” compilation. BLC also presents a new graphic artist, Paul Gerrard of the UK, who takes the “Interbreeding” imagery to an unprecedented level of terror and brutality along the lines of images from the films like “Saw”, “Hostel” and “Frontier(s)”. “Interbreeding” compilations have found their listeners in the top club venues such as Das Bunker in Los Angeles, The Castle in Florida, Matrix in Germany and Slimelight in the UK, and it is anticipated that “Interbreeding X” will join earlier editions for heavy club rotation among the hard and dark electro crowd.

O.Children O.Children Review
Stunning debut album from newcomers O.CHILDREN.

Named after a NICK CAVE song, that influence is obvious here, but the album is far from derivative. They have created a style all of their own, and have made quite an impact with their lead single “Ruins”, a hugely epic and powerful track.

Currently taking the summer festival circuit by storm, expect big things from this band.

Blank & Jones Relax Edition Five Review
It’s going to be a hot summer. Which album would you take with you to a desert island? Well, this question no longer really seems relevant in the times of the iPod. At least technically. But even with almost every song ever recorded being available anytime and anywhere, there always seems to be a personal summer favourite every year. Is it because you heard it continuously on your summer holiday and it simply hasn’t left your CD player since you got back? Is it because it supplier the soundtrack to all those great BBQs you had with friends at home? The “Relax” album series falls into exactly that kind of category, and the latest release, “Edition Five” is well on its way to becoming a classic this summer…

Only BLANK & JONES know how to create that certain atmosphere where you just feel like leaving everything else aside and stopping the world. They take you on a fantastic journey filled with relaxing sounds and good vibes. Previous releases have featured special guests like KEANE, the PET SHOP BOYS and SARAH MCLACHLAN, and this time they have invited some even more illustrious guests to take that “Relax” spirit to the next level, starting right away with the opening track which features a collaboration with French chanson star CORALIE CLEMENT. Together with her brother BENJAMIN BIOLAY, the legimate successor to Serge Gainsbourg, she has already recorded three very successful albums and now proves with this song that she can easily enchant you without the help of her famous brother. A close friend of the production team, the Italian singer MIKE FRANCIS who died in 2009, is featured with his biggest song “Survivor” plus the summer tune “Bossa Per Emilia”, as is the US talent JASON CAESAR. In addition, their long time companion BOBO (IN WHITE WOODEN HOUSES) delivers an outstanding performance with her angel-like voice on a new interpretation of the DEPECHE MODE classic “Freelove”. The album’s first single features the Balearic legend CATHY BATTISTESSA on vocals. Nobody represents “The Spirit of Ibiza” better than Cathy, who wrote and performed songs like “More Than Ever People”, “Speck of Gold” and “Breather”. Often named ‘The Voice of Café del Mar’, she is far more than that. After touring with FATBOY SLIM last year, she also supported the Free Tibet campaign and sang for the Dalai Lama at his birthday party. Now with BLANK & JONES she performs one of the most beautiful songs of her career so far.

With this great variety of brilliant guest vocalists the “Relax” series is every bit as versatile as compilations like “Café del Mar”, “Buddha Bar” and “Hotel Costes”, but their true greatness is owed to the fact that we are talking about full artist albums. This means BLANK & JONES are in control all the time and hold the strings, enabling them to create a unique experience. The fine mix of downbeat, chill out, beach house and bar grooves – the essence of their shows which are celebrated worldwide – will win you over every bit as much as the already legendary artwork, packaging and design. This year’s photo session took place on Santorin Island, Greece and once again captures the music perfectly in photographic still life. Bring on the good vibes with “Relax Edition Five”!

The Pain Machinery Urban Survival Review
After several years of hard work, THE PAIN MACHINERY finally and proudly present their fourth album, “Urban Survival”. Fourteen tracks custom built to sweep the scum off the streets! This time, Anders Karlsson and long time partner in crime Jonas Hedberg have enlisted guest vocalist Jared Louche, the driving force behind the legendary CHEMLAB, to maximise the impact of their sonic assault.

“Urban Survival” is an amalgamation of the band’s early hardcore rhythmic industrial noise with a new-found sense of catchiness. Taking cues from their old-school influences like CABARET VOLTAIRE, SPK, DAF and SKINNY PUPPY, without ever sounding like a retro act, THE PAIN MACHINERY unleash a barrage of jackhammer beats, heavy-duty electronics and menacing vocals to hypnotic effect.

Various Artists Things to Come Review
A real gem from the lovely people at Sphere Magazine, featuring the very best alternative and electronic acts from the north of England.

Editor Dom Smith comments: “I wanted to go back to the magazine’s roots with this CD and feature the darker bands that helped us get started. We have evolved and now we cover most everything within the alternative, rock, goth, metal and electronic genres, but we did start out as a very goth and industrial-centric publication and so this is a homage to those days and to the great bands that we have on offer in the north of England.”

Orange Sector The War Comes Home Review
Part 14 of the ‘classics’ series – and as always, strictly limited to 1000 copies worldwide!

More then sixteen years of band history make ORANGE SECTOR one of the true pioneers of Electronic Body Music. In the tradition of bands such as DAF, DIE KRUPPS and NITZER EBB, the Hannover-based duo produce pure electronic music to make you dance… Hits such as “Kalt wie Stahl”, “Für Immer”, “Götter”, “Tanzbefehl” and “Krieg & Frieden” are true dance weapons in the hands of a club DJ! With “The War Comes Home”, band and label go back into their history to present all their early hits as well as several unreleased and rare mixes and versions. The CD once again comes in remastered audio format along with the typical ‘classics’ artwork style.

Dust Is Noise Fractured Forms Review
It all started out with a few synth-lines and a few stories to tell. It wasn’t supposed to be fancy but to hang somewhere on a rawer level. That was the aim when DUST IS NOISE was formed by Jacob, Mike J and Mike T. Collectively the three members work as the electronic outfit ALTER DER RUINE, an act known for dirty, funky electro. In their downtime they found themselves writing melodic synthpop and while they enjoyed it they knew it couldn’t be worked into the ADR live sets without causing heads to implode. Rather than leave the songs on the shelf they chose to add vocals and dress the tunes up as an entirely different package. With heavy emphasis on a big beat, grooving synths and incensed vocals DUST IS NOISE jammed along on a mission to complete a full length album. After playing a slew of live dates they caught the attention of Vendetta Music and shortly afterwards were taken on board to release their debut album entitled “Fractured Forms”.
