Chain D.L.K.: Hello T3CHN0PH0B1A please introduce yourself
T3chnophob1a: I’m Snuff 238, the singer of T3CHN0PH0B1A, a band formed at the end of 2003. We play a kind of music we call Dancefl-Horror, a cross between Metal and electro music, influenced by Horror and Sci-Fi themes. Everything started with the promo CD Albedo Level: 0%, a demo containing 4 songs. Then some months ago we released the new EP “The Dance-Horror: N.A.S.A. Vs I.N.R.I.,” which contained two brand new songs and six remixes made by some artists of the Industrial Rock and Ebm scene (Mortiis, November Process, XP8, Syrian, Sandblasting & Golem 101). The EP also includes a bonus track, the remake of our old song H.T.M.L. [Heavenly Territories Might Lie], revisited in a more atmospheric-intimate way.
Chain D.L.K.: What is your concept of time?
T3chnophob1a: Time as a healer and a killer has always been fascinating. It judges everything. It destroys everything. Fascinating.
Chain D.L.K.: What other phobias are you interested in?
T3chnophob1a: I always try to analyse the different kinds of phobias or fetishes. I am fascinated by the infinity of obsessions and perversions, millions of minds thrilled to bits or scared to death by something strange, unusual or even meaningless for other individuals. My personal phobias? I fear almost nothing but I’m obsessed by many things. I think I’m both agoraphobic and claustrophobic. I’m addicted to knowledge, caffeine, cigarettes and drinks. I have a fetish for female eyebrows and redheaded girls. Surely I havent a Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia or Triskaidekaphobia *hehehehe*
Chain D.L.K.: Tell us about your current and future projects
T3chnophob1a: We are presently involved in some collaborations with bands, we just made some remixes for Ebm bands (the latest were for Unter Null and Obszon Geschopf) and I’m doing some guest vocals on musical projects. I will be featured on a song from the new Syrian album (I suggest you check this band out, really talented Ebm, at www.spacetalk.net ) and I will sing a track on a project from Italy called Bacteriathen with more collaborations to come…and new musical solo projects from members of T3CHN0PH0B1A.
Chain D.L.K.: What do you think before you fall asleep?
T3chnophob1a: I love to stay awake at night, usually I don’t think about anything in particular, I watch movie after movie (my passion for cinema is stronger than the passion for music), until I fall asleep, unconscious. The night is ambiguous and makes everything different. Every aspect of life changes shape. I close myself in thoughts or I go out to party.
Chain D.L.K.: What things do you avoid thinking about?
T3chnophob1a: I hate what happens in the world. I always try to avoid thinking about it. Humans are so stupid and limited. I don’t care about the news on TV or journals, which are often too manipulated and changed to suit entertainment values rather than truth. In all honesty, I dont give a fuck about this. I prefer to search out a comfortable sanctuary in art and in my own mental universe. The goal I want to reach is an aesthetic model of life, decadent and sick but, at least, better than the ordinary global disgrace.
Chain D.L.K.: Write your own question and answer it.
T3chnophob1a: Hehehehe this question reminds me of a well known Italian journalist who used to ask this same difficult question. I attribute this question to a great band (you surely know them), and this could fit, in a certain way, to our alien concept too:
Q: Are We Not Men?
A: We are Devo!
Chain D.L.K.: What’s your biggest dream?
T3chnophob1a: Surely to get a bigger audience and lots of new fans of my band, increasing our fan base and, maybe, to sign a deal with a label, to have the chance to release many albums.
Chain D.L.K.: What can we expect out of you in the future?
T3chnophob1a: We’re actually recording the demo versions of 13 new songs in our home studio, a full length album, entitled “Grave New World.” Some songs have a more metallic impact, some are focused on symphonic and futuristic acid atmospheres. Those who love our web single Abduction Starfleet (available for free download on www.t3chnophob1a.com) already know what to expect from our new product: xenothropic violence, space sounds, corpses, bones, loud guitars, death, morbid alien voices and green/black decay. We are also planning some live dates for the next season. Watch out, here we come!
Chain D.L.K.: Any message for our readers?
T3chnophob1a: Yes, I would like to thank the zine for supporting our music and every single fan who helped us, spreading the word everywhere and following with passion. And for those who don’t know us…check out our stuff!
