Sept. 12, 2011 — Lords of Acid, who are set to release their first new material in over a decade with the *Little Mighty Rabbit EP* (Sept. 27, Metropolis Records),are giving fans a chance to have their way with the song “Drowning In Ecstasy” through a remix contest presented by Sony Creative Software, Metropolis Records, dPulse and Acidplanet.com.

The contest, which goes live via Acidplanet.com on Sept. 29 and runs through Nov. 10, allows would be remixers to download master tracks for “Drowning In Ecstasy” and submit their custom remix for a spot on an upcoming Lords of Acid release. The Grand Prize winner will also receive an assortment of Sony hardware and software along with Lords of Acid merchandise.

Lords of Acid and the band’s ringleader, Praga Khan, are one of the progenitors of the acid house movement, having erupted onto the dance music scene in Belgium during the late ’80s and going on to sell more than 2.5 million records worldwide. Their highest selling U.S. album, *Voodoo-U*, has been certified gold (sales in excess of 500,000 copies). As a testimony to Khan’s ongoing passion for dance music he recruited a number of the world’s top DJs for remix treatments of *the Little Mighty Rabbit*single including Christopher Lawrence, AK 1200, DJ Micro, Chris Vrenna of Nine Inch Nails fame and KMFDM.
