The fact that TERMINAL CHOICE would radically change their music style from the very first minimal EBM beginnings to one of Germany’s most relevant and recognized Goth/Rock formation has for sure nobody expected. Chris Pohl is surely that kind of musician which has polarized people in either way, but nevertheless nowadays he earns the fruits of his hard work and his believe in his abilities through the years. For this new TERMINAL CHOICE Pohl has recruited Louis Manke (STAUBKIND) to provide the needed guitar infernos. The legendary John Fryer (DEPECHE MODE, HIM, NIN...) has done the mixing of this new CD. The Electro elements which here and there were available on his past albums are now totally gone. It’s also nice to hear that Pohl could improve from album to album his voice, he now really provides excellent and clear vocals well balanced in the mix. The music of course has developed through the years and the band now provides Goth-Rock which gets better and better. I don’t see this band in the same league like RAMSTEIN or OOMPH! until today, but they are on the way to follow them. Not sure if already with the "New Born Enemies" can the big step taken, I therefor don’t find it catchy enough. But time and the right market strategies will may prove us better...? Not my cup of tea at all, but surely not to be missed by the Goth fans.
