LZoon van snooK has announced that he will release a new single on UK independent imprint Lo Recordings on the 14th May 2021.

‘Teotihuacan’ is the second track to be taken from the Bristolian (by way of Barcelona) producer’s current album ‘Se·pa·ra·ción’ and will be available digitally with an exclusive and achingly delicate reworking by the multi-instrumentalist trio and Public Service Broadcasting collaborators Haiku Salut.

Released during lockdown, Zoon van snooK’s third long player ‘Se·pa·ra·ción’ consists of ten beautifully woven tracks that were built around field recordings harvested in South and Central America in 2018. Foregoing his [un]usual experimental elec-trickery, the new album sees snooK strip the solo piano tracks right back while still retaining his celebrated technique of building each song around the melody, rhythm and soundscape of far-flung field recordings.

The field recording used as the basis of ‘Teotihuacan’ is a Mesoamerican flute played at the ancient site of the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, replete with natural reverb bouncing between the ancient structures.
