Limited edition Box-Set of strictly 499 copies! The box contains the regular ‘Wax Trax Years’ album, plus an exclusive bonus-CD ‘LIVE IN SAN ANTONIO’, recorded on the PEAK of their success in 1990 and featuring their biggest hits, plus 2 POSTCARDS + BOOKMARKER! As the first in a series of retrospective compilations, Thrill Kill Kult revisits their early “industrial” roots, and has masterfully breathed new life into 12 of the most definitive TKK tracks from the band’s Wax Trax Records era. The CD also includes a previously unreleased track from that time called “Satana Rising”! Why remix such classics as ‘And this is what the Devil does’ or ‘Kooler than Jesus’ (to mention just two of their biggest hits). Think of it as TKK in a new, aural 3D-version… Or better yet – 4D, or beyond! From the call for drugs in “A Daisy Chain 4 Satan”, to the chants of Christian Zombie vampires in “The Days of Swine & Roses”, every nuance is clearer, every drum beat pumps harder, and every sinister whisper speaks louder to your mind, body and soul. “It was like visiting old friends after 20 years by remixing those songs”, says producer Buzz McCoy. “And it was nice to finally add some sonic sparkle to those dusty, old tracks”! Tread where Angels fear to go! Take the journey all over… Get lost (again) in the intoxicating, seductive and lurid realm that is truly and only, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. NOSFERATU – A chronicle of the Great Death in Wisborg. The story of “Nosferatu” is one of gothic horror, sensuality and ultimately, death. Unlike Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”, the events in the movie take place, not in London, but in Bremen, Germany during the 1830’s. All copies were ordered destroyed in 1923. “Nosferatu” was deemed the product of plagerism, an unlicensed version of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”. Stoker’s widow sued the movie producers until they were out of business and the court ordered all copies of the film to be destroyed. Fortunately for us, copies were hidden away in the dark recesses of cinematheques and it is from these reels that we can see, what is considered the world’s first horror film. VAMPYR Vampyr ranks in many circles as one of the greatest horror films of all time. Inspired by Sheridan Le Fanu’s Carmilla, the story concerns a mysterious series of killings, committed by a crone of a female vampire (Henriette Gerard). Released on Walking Shadows and available June 22, 2010.

Anyone who knows Caustic won’t be surprised that founder Matt Fanale has woken up more than one morning in the gutter. In short, Caustic and Fanale aren’t known for making, as they say, “the smart choices”. So why not add to the list of crap decisions and release a new, mildly “experimental” CD based mining and reflecting on all those choices right after the popular 2009 2CD THIS IS JIZZCORE? Why the hell not, indeed?! This ain’t the Black Eyed Peas, bitches! “…AND YOU WILL KNOW ME BY THE TRAIL OF VOMIT” is Caustic through and through– 12 tracks of raw production, pounding beats, and lyrics combining vitriol, humor, and unique insight as only Caustic can do it. Produced intentionally as a true DIY effort to be released independently of the Crunch Pod label with a mere $5 pricetag, …TRAIL OF VOMIT comes in a plastic sleeve with hand drawn art by Fanale himself, embracing the punk roots and influences that have shaped Caustic over the years. Special appearances by The Vomit Arsonist and Dan Clark of The Dark Clan. Now shipping!

In Hands Paper Pack! René Klimaczweski aka Morbus M. presents dark, forceful and threading electronica tracks and in some subtle ways also a very hypnotic and attracting album. On one hand his tracks have an intense atmosphere, on the other hand there is always a groove or a repetitive structure. Industrial trip hop rhythms and electronica sound design meet electronic soundtrack tradition. Further on media samples, field-recordings and the beat structures generate and build up finally an almost too intense and deep atmosphere. In total Forget the Past is an album that breaks the borders of genres and is an emotional trip in the inner apocalypse. Released on Hands and available June 7th, 2010.

The highly anticipated second album from Italian harsh-machine ADAM (their debut was released by Fear Section/Out of Line), for the occasion transformed into ADAM KULT due to a case of homonymy. After an explosive debut, the performance at Wave Gotik Treffen and a German tour as official opening act for Blutengel, ADAM KULT buried themselves in their own studio to give birth to a follow up that could be even higher. So Harsh IS DEAD is born, where the sound becomes more granitic, where arrangements transform the groove in a massive dance floor-machine. The vocals, made even more powerful by a production that eclipses the first act, dragging the listener into a veritable hell. For those who love huge kick, deep baselines and frantic rhythms. Features remixes by Suicidal Romance, Cedigest and others! Released on Koldfinger and available July 9th, 2010.

Robert Smith curates reissue of The Cure’s dark masterpiece as a three-disc deluxe edition that includes a remastered version of the original, plus unreleased songs, demos, outtakes and live performances. Despite early concerns that it was too gloomy for radio airplay, The Cure’s eighth studio album, Disintegration, quickly became the group’s most successful. Spurred by two Top 10 hits, “Lullaby” and “Lovesong,” album sales topped more than 3 million as the band sold out stadiums and arenas around the world during its 1989 tour. Rhino reissues this dark tour de force, remastering the original, addition a disc of unreleased outtakes and demos, plus a third disc that contains a live performance of the entire album recorded in 1989 at Wembley Arena. This deluxe edition comes with a 20-page booklet containing previously unseen photos and art, as well as lyrics and an in-depth overview of the period by The Cure’s founder, Robert Smith. Smith compiled, produced, and supervised the mastering of this three-disc collection, which covers the evolution of disintegration, from demos and rehearsals to studio and stage. The first disc contains newly remastered versions of the album’s original 12 tracks. Gathering 20 unreleased tracks, the second disc trawls through Smith’s home recordings to find early instrumental versions of fan favorites “Pictures Of You,” “Prayers For Rain,” and “Fascination Street.” The final disc, Smith remixes and expands Entreat, a live album recorded in 1989 at Wembley Arena during The Cure’s sold-out Prayer Tour. Entreat Plus combines the original’s eight tracks with four more “missing” tracks to create a complete, contemporary live version of Disintegration. Released on Rhino and available June 8th, 2010.

Synth pioneer and former Ultravox singer John Foxx is marking the 30th anniversary of the release of his solo debut ‘Metamatic’ with a new 2CD+1DVD retrospective called Metatronic — as well as a special “analog” concert in London next month with guest DJ Gary Numan. ‘Metatronic’ focuses on the darker, electro material from his 30-year solo career and features 21 singles, remixes and other cuts chosen by Foxx — including “No One Driving,” “This City,” “Burning Car” and a new mix of his first single, “Underpass,” by Mark Reeder — as well as eight live tracks recorded in Sydney in 2008 and a DVD containing seven promo videos. On June 5 at London’s Roundhouse, Foxx headlines and curates electronic-music festival ‘Short Circuit 2010’. Following a DJ set by Numan and co-producer Ade Fenton, Foxx and “a one-off group of special guests” are slated to perform “a unique analog synthesizer show” playing the Moogs, ARPs and drum machines Foxx used on 1980’s Metamatic. Foxx’s set is expected to include cuts from Metamatic and early Ultravox songs, as well as some of the musician’s current work, including a brand-new collaboration with Leftfield’s Paul Daley and songs from this fall’s John Foxx & The Maths debut album, an all-analog project with London musician Benge. Also in March, Foxx released My Lost City, an 11-track album comprised mostly of previously unreleased material recorded between 1981 and 1985 and only recently rediscovered on “old, forgotten tapes buried away in storage.” In press material for the album, Foxx says, “‘When I played them I was struck by the way they evoke a time and a place — and how I d been unaware of this when they were made. Then they seemed like fragments, unfinished and unsatisfying. A stop on the way to somewhere else.” Released on Edsel and available June 7th, 2010.

More than three decades after the release of its visionary debut, Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo, and a full 20 years since its last studio album, Devo is back with the aptly titled Something for Everybody. The long rumored, wildly anticipated album (which was launched with a memorable performance in Vancouver at the Winter Olympics) features the band’s classic line-up-Mark and
Bob Mothersbaugh, Gerald and Bob Casale-joined by drummer Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails, Guns n’ Roses). Though the songs recorded for Something for Everybody are built on Devo’s signature mechanized swing, the recording and presentation of the album saw the band experimenting with an entirely new approach. A series of studies were conducted through the Clubdevo site to help the band with its creative decisions, from color selection to song mixes. In fact 16 songs were recorded but only 12 made the final album. Released on Warner and available June 15th, 2010.

30 years with(out) Ian Curtis – Transmission – 80-10 A Joy Division Tribute. Great compilation of songs, many of them especially recorded for this third volume of Infrastition’s ‘Transmission’ series! This 3rd volume is entirely dedicated to Ian Kevin Curtis, legendary leader and singer of JOY DIVISION, who passed away 30 years ago. These 18 recordings are the fruit of a deep devotion of the participating artists, to the work and life of a singer, that died at a far too young age and left a lasting gap in the music scene. Transmission 3 is a sort of ‘French incarnation’ of this deep devotion to a musician and a band, that influenced the dark and electro-scene for over 30 years now. Many big names of the French alternative scene contributed and the tracklist reads like a ‘who is who’ of the French Cold Wave scene of the 80ies and 90ies! Released on Infrastition and available June 8th, 2010.

The first experiences: A7ie essence is born in 2002 into the name Aseptie. Evolved into industrial and electro music, the beginning was on the form of an instrumental project, experimenting harsh and distorted beats with dark and melodic backgrounds. Its first official single with vocals was launched in 2005 and released on the French compilation “in this cold terrific room 2” by the label La Chambre Froide (France). “Pray (this agony)” is much appreciated by the audience and has been played in many clubs worldwide. After several remixes for bands like Agonoize, Tamtrum or Alien Produkt, the band definitely took the name a7ie and is revealed to the public with its single “messiah” , and with many apparitions on compilations like “gothic magazine”, “goth is what you make It vol.2” or “extreme sundenfall vol.6”. In september 2007, A7ie launched its sick music for sick people with the debut album “distress” on the labels La Chambre Froide and Rupal Records (Germany) with remixes by Tamtrum, Wynardtage or X-Fusion, “distress” is announced as best dark electronics album of the month. 3 years after a7ie comes again with its new album “the shattering”. Wounds have been dressed and there is no more place for remorses and regrets. Produced by Jan L. from X-Fusion / Noisuf-X, this album contains 9 loud and heavy new original songs + remixes from PreEmptive Strike 1.0, Aktive:Hate, Sadiztik injektion, Adeonesis. Projekt is proud to announce the signing of noted Norwegian electronic / ambient guitarist, synthesist and composer Erik Wøllo. Since the mid-80s, Wøllo has released a string of mesmerizingly melodic and original albums culminating in Gateway, his 14th solo release. His recent collaboration with Steve Roach, Stream of Thought (Projekt, 2009), introduced a new audience to his personal signature of introspective atmospherics. Working over two years creating Gateway, Wøllo presents a fine-tuned collection of carefully crafted compositions; electro-symphonies morph through a wide variety of moods, guitar expositions and crescendos. With a minimalist’s restrained elegance, Wøllo creates evocative passage through imaginary landscapes by blending dark and light elements. The resulting music is visual, kindling the feeling of nature inspired by the Nordic landscapes of Wøllo’s homeland. These epic dimensions are reflected in the beautiful album cover images created by Polish artist Michal Karcz; dramatic, vast, and untouched landscapes symbolize purity and beauty. Released on Projekt and available June 8th, 2010.

Makaras Pen walks the line between shoegaze and indie rock with a strong dynamic of crushing guitars and delicate female vocals. Doug White – founder, guitarist and songwriter from Projekt’s now disbanded Tearwave – builds on Tearwave’s sound and shoegaze elements made popular in the late 80’s and early 90’s by bands like Lush, Slowdive, and the Cocteau Twins. Makaras Pen adds a startlingly fresh perspective on the genre. Released on Projekt and available June 8th, 2010.
