This is a movie, not a record. I don't know why a label like Gradual Hate put a film in a catalogue full of music but ... who cares? This is more relevant to music than a DVD made out of a concert footage.
[/disclaimer]
If information is a classical theme of Industrial music, this movie is an hymn for culture. The plot seems simple: there's a book of 77 pages made in 77 copies donated to 77 chosen few by a mysterious god called The printer. The reason is simple and explained in the beginning of this movie: the worse of human attitude is oblivion. When the Earth is in the apocalyptic process of becoming again the Pangea, an unique continent as theorized as in the beginning of the history of the human race, the only resource against extinction is the book that contains the knowledge of mankind.
This movie seems more a video than a proper movie but has a great feature: it's constructed as a silent film. Apart from reconstructed TG parts describing the situation, all the dialogue is done by a narrator also because it seems than all the keepers of a copy of the book are blind and, perhaps, mute. The result is a charge against the part of humanity that choose a safer ignorance instead of an harsh truth. To see.

This a compilation of post-industrial spanish band trying to give a first shot on this scene. Listening to this cd, it's impossible not to see that the key feature of this project is variety. Starting with the harsh sonic assault of Moloch 1811 and ending with the spoken word of The Wirm, all the colors of this scene give a colourful picture.
There's artist like Jazznoise that deal with almost isolationist ambient while Stahlfabrik use more robotical rhythm. Gradual Hate, Obscuridad Macabra and Sillme are more oriented with ritualistic musical patterns. N-Urss, MyNationShit, Transmission From The Crypt looks at the dancefloor with a more catchy approach. ERG and Verbum are the martial side of this pack. Uanami, instead, with "Michlan" use an almost Warp-like approach of this tune.
Apart from the fact that none of this band seems truly original, all the tracks are well constructed, an this means the curator has done a really good job of selection, making this compilation enjoyable and far better than one could expect.

How pervert is this? Millions of Germans have been sitting in January evening by evening decadently in front of their TV sets to watch the 'drama' of a group of wannabe-prominent people 'trapped' in an Australian jungle camp.
The real drama though has happened to the same time only a few miles away in the Australian state of Queensland, which has been punished with a millennium-tide. It has been a historical high tide, which Australia hasn't seldom seen before. Uncountable people lost all of their estates, several had to fight for nothing more than their naked survival.
I'm ashamed by our TV-watching (de-)generation, which is seemingly impressed by the childish behavior of these half-prominent jackasses, which have played their role well in a faked show. Simply to say 'sorry' for this unbelievable and disrespectful kind against those Australian people fighting for their existence sounds like utter mockery. However, there are people over there in Australia making the right decision about charity. Help in any form is required and any idea, which promises only a small doze of relief, is an action to follow and support.
The same thoughts have had the people of the label Aphotic Audio (EMPTY), even more regarding the fact, that with Ken Evans of the Synthpop-project TYCHO BRAHE, one of their friends is directly affected. So with the support of the Australian Crash Frequency community, they've sent out their call for help and support to international-based artists, friends and band-projects, to provide tracks for this charity DCD compilation set, which can be purchased directly via the Aphotic Audio website.
All proceeds extracted out of the sales of this DCD compilation will be forwarded to the flood victims in Queensland. The response has been amazing: You'll get global scene-players like PSYCHE, ANGELSPIT, DISMANTLED, ASSEMBLAGE 23, SKREW, or COLLIDE asides hard-working independent contributors like DIVERJE, LUCIDSTATIC, I, PARASITE, ANDROID LUST, AUTOCLAV 1.1, ANGEL THEORY, and of course the complete roster of the Aphotic label (among others EMPTY, M(I)LKRUN, IAMMYNEWT...). By checking the mouthwatering track listings stated below, it's nearly forbidden to rate any of these fine contributors for their good intention, as they all offer the best they can - what counts is the will to help and to support the victims of this tragic flood.
All purchasers of this DCD set via the Aphotic Audio website will be specially rewarded with an additional Download-pack consisting out of 9 additional tracks (see below...). More than ever before are you, dear listener of Electro-/Industrial-/Alternative-music, asked for to purchase this compilation set. As the current dramatic happenings in Japan and Libya additionally prove, there can't be enough action available to relief suffering. So now it is on you to show your support ' illegal downloading of this DCD set is strictly forbidden and similar pervert, than the behavior of all participants of the TV 'drama' mentioned above! Go ahead and buy this one!

Weird and funny name, this band hailing from Sicily has an honest sound, in a sense that has been quite a surprise, I can't say why, but I didn't know exactly what to expect. We're in front of a indie-rock, noise rock-band the way it used to be back in the Nineties and they've a good writing skill infact they recorded me of some forgotten italian heroes like Three Second Kiss or like Twing Infection and if you think one of them Is an ex member of the second band I was not "driving" on the wrong lane. The production is quite good and as I've said everything sounds has it has to and I mean it also in terms of technical skill since the musicians are ok, the vocals are good and while working on a classical noise-rock structure these guys have taste for catchy riffs. The global effect despite some dissonances is quite soft and lulling and I don't think being "old fashioned" is necessarily a fault above all if you consider this work sounds much fresher than many others looking for an easy restyle though a light touch of electronics. Never too heavy they've an itch for mid tempos and it helps making it all sound quite smooth and digestible. If writing a song is still what remains central for the essence of a release, these Sicilians demonstrate they're following the footsteps for good and the style is quite distinguishable which deserves them much respect for it. A nice band and a good work many of you into that kind of sound will love.

BURNING THE TEMPLE OF GOD has been released by Cold Meat Industry back in 1996 and it became a classic because it was the first record to mix black metal and industrial music, even if it only happened on "Feasting on Khristian blood". The album starts with a distorted sample of an exorcism coming from a movie (and not from the "Exorcist" because here the girl's name is Jennifer) and soon after the industrial noise mayhem blasts everything else and you can't expect anything else from a track titled "Deklaration of Holy War". On this release, Mz.412 gave their best for the creation of a throbbing mixture made of industrial grinding sounds mixed to pagan drumming (like on "The winter of mourning", the following "Taking the throne Pt.1&2" and "Submit and obey") or growling from hell which ends into powerful drummings (like on "Burning... (Gods house)"). Grinding noises aren't the only thing offered here as "Nebulah frost" is a horrorish short industrial ambient tune focused on distant ritual drumming and metal percussions as well as "Vampiir of the north" is a tune based on organ sounds which dive into industrial drones, creating in this way a deep hypnotic atmosphere. On this reissue you can also find a bonus track titled "Untitled". Track based on rumbling synth noises, distorted vocals and a tons of echo. Was it a coincidence if for the book "Lords of chaos" has been used the same photo picked up for the original cover of this album? I don't think so... The following album NORDIK BATTLE SIGNS has been released back in 1999 and it sees the industrial noise level increasing thanks to a massive use of distortion and feedback. It's like MZ.412 wanted to destabilize the audience making them lose their consciousness. Harsh noises, power electronics, malevolent vocals and industrial drumming are the core of these recordins which see also as guests, Ordo Equilibrio on vocals on the completed version of the long deleted 'Legion Ultra' 7", here included as bonus track and on "Satan Jugend II: Global konquering". On this edition you can find other two bonus tracks, "Multiple deity worship" (an obscure black mass sounding track with chants and throbbing noises) and "In hoc signo vinces" (power industrial noises and percussions are here to end the release with a blast). Both the releases have been remastered and they sound stunning.
