Paul Roland wants to suggest us, and open our eyes-inside-ears into a different world made of mysteries and magics. We soar among organic sounds well played, a strong voice coming from nice rock ballads and above all we soar into a world of images and culture of our old Europe, not to mention a very very very nice Hammond sound. The result is really nice and depth: a 5 five star work and 10 star for the Art related to it. The tracks about Poe and Cpt. NEMO are really spine chilling and brought me away from the greyness of daily life, it reminds me my past readings in the J. Verne's worlds. That work is in fact a progressive ballad rock that has a soul not only sounds and every notes and vibes got a feature very rare in these days: the art to tell a story through a song. I felt also a skill in playing for musical 70s style, not to say a blasphemy but this guy is not so far from "Lamb lies down on Broadway", music moves an his voice brings it in a world where the telling-art is the center of the playing-art. His instinct linked with a great culture is for sure his best "weapon" to catch our attention and our imagination, thank you Paul, your dreams are pure art.
