On "Sylt", Icarus (Ollie Brown & Sam Britton) expanded their formula to a more experimental approach. The album shows the duo dealing with different sound techniques ranging from the unorthodox electroacustic patchworks of "First Inf(E)rænce" and "Second Inf(E)rænce" recorded live in Tolouse in 2006 to less intresting tracks resemblembling their earlier works. "Icarus" is a respected musical entity with releases on Leaf, Temporary Residence and Hydrogen Dukebox - "Sylt" is surely a pretty intresting release for the electronica enthusiasts out there, but it's not my cup of tea and to my hears is a somewhat inconsistent album.
