Here’s a quick update to remind you about some forthcoming UK Decay gigs over the next few weeks.
This Friday 25th April, UK Decay will be making their first trip to the North East of the UK in 32 years for a gig at the Georgian Theatre in Stockton on Tees. Support will be from one of the North East’s hottest bands, ‘Zeitgeist 77’ They are described as alternative and mix in different genres, all hailing from different music backgrounds – mainly rock driven drums a funky, sometimes motownlike bass with punky appeggio ridden guitar and a charismatic singer connecting manically with the audience. UK Decay will be onsatge at around 9.45pm.

Friday 25 April 2014, Georgian Theatre, Stockton-onTees.
On Saturday 26th April the band will be making a special guest appearance at the legendary Whitby Goth Weekender, which is heh – in Whitby North Yorkshire! The band will be onstage at 8.45pm and will be playing with, New Model Army, The Last Cry and Jordan Reyne. Saturday 26 April 2014, Whitby Goth Fest, Whitby
The following week on Saturday May 3rd, UK Decay will be making a return visit to the home town of Luton’s – Hat Factory Arts Centre. As you may be aware the whole town will be a celebratory mood following the towns football club, LTFC also known as the “Hatters” (Luton is traditionally a Hat making town) – winning the Conference League Championship and returning to Division Two in the English league.
UK Decay were joined by the players in the team on “Hatters Hatters” from the recent Wonderful Town single. Support will be from fellow Luton band Bowfinger who also released a single on the Luton Town theme. Tickets are available from the vents page on the below link.
Saturday 3 May 2014, Luton Hat Factory, Luton
On Saturday May 10th Decay will return to Paris for their first appearance in France since the legendary gig at The Rue des Cascades squat gig in Paris back in 1982, that’s 32 years ago! (One of the best ever early period UK Decay gigs according to Spon) The band are headlining the UNPLEASANT MEETING FEST which has host’s of bands booked to appear over the weekend. bands supporting on the Saturday night include Steve Lake from Zounds (playing Zounds) Cress, Dystopian Society, Constant State of Terror, Bus Station Loonies with hosts of DJ’s between.
The festival has an ‘underground – alternative – D.I.Y’ feel about it, “£by the people – for the people”

Saturday 10 May 2014, Unpleasant Meeting, Paris
Sunday 25th May will see the band return to London to headline the 2014 Scum Festival. There over 20 bands in three days including a large percentage international , far too many bands to list here. Again this festival take on an ‘alternative, underground and D.I.Y’ feel about. To find out more information and about tickets please follow the below link.

On June 6-9th Decay will be returning to Leipzig in Germany for a return visit for the Wave Gottic Treffen 2014 Festival. This is one of the largest (if not the largest) Goth, Darkwave, Deathrock etc festivals in the world! The festival is hosted by the colourfull former east German City of Leipzig which boast’s a suitable ‘gothic’ ambiance for the gathering of up to 80,000 or so visitors. Decay played a cracker there back in 2009 and the band are really looking forward to the return visit.

Saturday August 9th UK Decay will return to the Rebellion Punk Festival at The Winter Gardens in Blackpool. There are literally hundreds of the worlds top Punk bands and guest artists appearing over the three days. This simply cannot be missed!

Don’t forget, we have a new single available at the moment, The Wonderful Town EP which is available on limited edition vinyl, CD and Digital Download through iTunes. All the proceeds from WONDERFUL TOWN will be split between two charities: Luton Foodbank and SoLYD – a supporters’ initiative that helps fund the club’s youth development. Its production has received the kind support of Latent Lemon Audio, ATP Media and Diamond Black, in addition to Love Luton and LTFC.
