Early, never-before-heard Psyche tracks created with Dwayne Goettel of SKINNY PUPPY!
Re-Membering Dwayne Goettel: Prior to joining Skinny Puppy, Dwayne Goettel was a member of the young electronic-horror act Psyche. Although Goettel and Psyche parted ways before any Psyche releases were put out, the masters containing Dwayne Goettel’s performances were preserved in the Psyche vaults for years. Now, on the 15th anniversary of Goettel’s untimely passing in 1995, Artoffact Records and Psyche have hand-picked the most interesting tracks to release Re-Membering Dwayne, the original Psyche-Dwayne Goettel sessions. The album includes material featuring Goettel, as well as remixes from Plastic Noise Experience, Controlled Collapse, Dead When I Found Her, and more! The booklet contains an unpublished photo of Psyche with Dwayne, excerpts from Darrin Huss’ post-Dwayne diary, and a new essay by Darrin reflecting on Psyche’s past and the Goettel legacy. This collection is an absolute must-have for fans of Skinny Puppy, Psyche, and the early Canadian industrial scene. Released on Artoffact Records and available September 7th, 2010.

HEIMATAERDE “UNWESEN”
Heimataerde burst onto the dark electro scene with the club smashing single Ich Hab die Nacht Getraeumet and the debut album Gotteskrieger. With Its sinister blend of massive electro and unusual instruments like bagpipes and cymbals, Heimataerde garnered massive attention from fans and reviewers alike. At loss for a fitting description of Heimataerde‘s music, the press invented the term medieval-electro. However, the world of the crusades as envisioned by the project has nothing to do with the atmosphere of jesters and merry medieval fairs. Heimataerde summons a pantheon of undead, templars and fanatics, the skeletal armies marching in Breughel’s “The Triumph of Death”, and histories dark warriors, committing any crime that they think suitable to further their aims. Ashlar von Megalon is the narrator who leads us through this hellish scenario. He has assigned himself the role of the eternal wanderer on a quest for answers and a hidden truth. The new album, Unwesen, will raise a dark world of the forgotten avenger, following the trail of suppressed guilt and half-forgotten crimes rising to the surface with a vengeance. Unwesen is a further step of musical development for Heimataerde, expanding the atmosphere of its self-created genre. Released on Metropolis and available October 26th, 2010.

DIVERJE returns after a couple years of Live shows, writing, and recording new sounds and new collaborations. The addictive chorus has appealed to many of our allied bands/artists and the remixes are amazingly done here showing much diversity and taking this song into new directions and forms.You will find HARSH EBM, HEAVY INDUSTRIAL, OLD SCHOOL ELECTRO, EXPERIMENTAL TRIPPINESS, and TRANCE INFLUENCES on these remixes by some well known as well as newer acts: VIGILANTE, MANGADRIVE, PSYKKLE, vPROJEKT, NOIR EFFECT, THE HEADCASE, and a FIELD OF BLACK ORCHIDS all make unique remixes of this title track. AUN “BLACK PYRAMID”
Continuing on the foundations laid with the acclaimed 2009 album Motorsleep, AUN are further blurring the line where earth and space intersect with the ominous floating monolith “Black Pyramid”. Casting a new shadow, the seven tracks that make up Black Pyramid are loosely inspired by the worlds created by visionary french artist Enki Bilal. While still dealing in dark matter, the twisted guitar and electronics mutations find the duo at their most melodic, luminous and accessible yet, but in the world of AUN there is always a very fine line between light and darkness. AUN’s singular psychedelic ambient drones laid on Black Pyramid definitely marks this release as some of their best work yet, and this says alot about the power of this new album given their prolific and highly praised discography. Dead When I Found Her is the studio project of Portland, Oregon’s Michael Arthur Holloway, a professional electronic musician and producer who sites Skinny Puppy, Haujobb, Mentallo & the Fixer, Forma Tadre, Doubting Thomas, amongst other pioneering industrial aritsts as influences. Tracks from the debut album Harm’s Way have been the talk of music forums since they started to appear on Myspace and Soundcloud in 2009, and the attention the project has received is nothing short of impressive. The project soon found a home on Artoffact Records, and 12 tracks were selected for the debut release. Dead When I Found Her re-creates classic late-80’s/early-90’s industrial without sounding cliched, adding a modernized sonic signature to a dark and brooding foundation. Harm’s Way is the perfect album for dark music lovers. Out July 13th, 2010!
