Welcome to our weekly round-up of forthcoming releases.

ORCHESTRAL MANOEUVRES IN THE DARK, one of the UK’s most iconic bands, are back with their first new album in fourteen years, the appropriately entitled “History Of Modern”. A powerful, pulsating, vibrant and contemporary album with a strong pop sensibility. The limited two-disc edition of the album comes with a bonus DVD featuring interview footage, “The Making of History of Modern” documentary, album lyrics and hidden artwork images.

“Death Trip” is the thirteenth studio album from ALIEN SEX FIEND, featuring ten original songs recorded in ‘Hallucinosound’. The album has a B-Movie sci-fi/horrow concept, covering a diverse sonic spectrum from the old-school 80s FIEND sound to punk and industrial of the current cutting edge.

Australia’s best export in goth and folk, IKON return with an all-new six-track EP. “Driftwood” is the third track to be taken from their highly successful latest album, “Love, Hate and Sorrow”. The song is presented in two new versions and is accompanied by previously unreleased tracks and alternate versions of songs from the album. Also from the band is “A Line on a Dark Day”, IKON’s first ever DVD release.

“D.N.A.” features unique collaborations between JOHN FOXX and some of his favourite film-makers, with all of the short movies on the DVD having been made especially for this project. The CD features music from films, plus tracks that FOXX had recorded as ‘possibilities’ for soundtracks. The release includes collaborations with HAROLD BUDD and RUBEN GARCIA, STEVE D’AGOSTINO and ex-JAPAN percussionist STEVE JANSEN.

Starting in Berlin on January 9, 2010, through to Dusseldorf February 27, 2010, NITZER EBB were the opening act for the final European leg of DEPECHE MODE’s “Tour of the Universe”. “Industrial Complex [Tour Edition]” is the special edition of the new album, released especially for the tour, and includes just the main album disc at a bargain price!

It took years for CORVUS CORAX to compose and record the songs for “Cantus Buranus II”. In March 2009, the completed show premiered in Munich at the huge Olympiahalle, and the entire performance was filmed for this DVD, as well as another appearance in August 2009. The “Live in Munich” DVD will be released together with two audio CDs of the live recordings and additional footage, just in time for the “Cantus Buranus” show at Wacken Open Air 2010.

After their recent studio album “Forever Is the World” was released in 2009, Norwegian gothic metal icons THEATRE OF TRAGEDY decided to call it quits. “Addenda EP” is a kind of farewell gift to all true supporters of the band, originally it was released as bonus CD, but now this collection of bonus tracks, remixes and alternative mixes will finally be made available as a separate release.

The new OBSZÖN GESCHÖPF, “Symphony of Decay”, is a big surprise! Setting aside for a while the dark electro influences, they have instead realised an album of total industrial rock, with main influences from the likes of NIN, WHITE ZOMBIE, DIE KRUPPS, and KMFDM – harsh vocals and a horror ambience.

TZOLK’IN’s third album is dedicated to Aztec Mythology. Ceremonial deep tones merge with dark ambient industrial music – all kept together by tribalistic electronic grooves and acoustic percussion for a post-industrial divination. “Tonatiuh” is an idiosyncratic, ritualistic vision, making perfect use of modern technology to translate the atmosphere of an ancient mythic age for the listener of today. The artist is also releasing the “Double Headed Snake” T-shirt.

Four years after their first self released 7″, 100BLUMEN return with another two-track dose on vinyl “I Love Violence”, a perfect combination of punk and electronics. Black vinyl with poster-cover and sticker.

MONO-AMINE has its very own style of music: dark, distorted, layered, straight in your face and with a sick fresh groove, coupled with industrial and a feeling for club appeal. “Do Not Bend” delivers relentless rhythm and escalating walls of sound. Complex and fast-paced drumwork lead into barrages of rhythmic noise; heavily textured synth waves and vicious samples intertwine into the layers of a constantly evolving, shifting percussive aural world.

BT’s third and best-selling album “Movement in Still Life” was out of print for a long time, but is now finally available again in the shape of an expanded double disc, complete with hard-to- find and exclusive remixes and bonus tracks. “Movement in Still Life” is an undisputed classic that has gloriously passed the test of time and will most certainly be an absolute must-have for many fans of true and honest, high quality electronic dance music!

For the third time BLANK & JONES are travelling deep into the archives of the 80s with “so80s (So Eighties) 3”. Their mission is to dig out the finest original 12″ mixes by some of the biggest artists, including not only THE CURE, DAVID BOWIE and NEW ORDER, but also rare mixes from YELLO, VISAGE and SIMPLE MINDS, and real ‘pearls’ of the 80s, such as THE HUMAN LEAGUE’s “Being Boiled”! The 3CD deluxe box features one non-stop mix by BLANK & JONES, and also all the original 12″ mixes, remastered and in full-lenth versions.

And finally, ANT-ZEN finally
re-print one of the most popular shirt designs with “We Are Your Friends” – a glowing cluster of ants and silver logo imprint.

NEW RELEASESOrchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) History of Modern Review
ORCHESTRAL MANOEUVRES IN THE DARK, one of the UK’s most iconic bands, are back with their first new album in fourteen years, the appropriately entitled “History Of Modern”.

And what a return. Andy McCluskey has called it “our best album since ‘Architecture and Morality'” and few would disagree. The album was produced by OMD and mixed by one of the UK’s most in demand producers, Mike Crossey (ARCTIC MONKEYS/BLOOD RED SHOES/RAZORLIGHT). “History of Modern” is a powerful, pulsating, vibrant and contemporary album with a strong pop sensibility. Tracks such as “Pulse”, “Save Me”, “Sister Marie Says” and “The Future” are huge future dancefloor fillers while others like the downtempo “Bondage of Fate”, “If You Want It” and “Sometimes” are quite simply beautiful, classic OMD songs. The music sees a return to the band’s early pioneering electronic roots, a sound that is now recognised as being a major influence on many of today’s electro artists. The likes of LCD SOUNDSYSTME’s James Murphy, THE XX and THE KILLERS have all cited OMD as a massive inspiration.

Corvus Corax Live in Munich Review
It took years to compose and record the songs for “Cantus Buranus II”. A sort of pre-staging of the production took place in China in November 2008. In March 2009, the completed show premiered in Munich at the huge Olympiahalle, and the entire performance was filmed for this DVD, as well as another appearance in August 2009. These three shows have now been united on the present release. Never has a musical composition enthused such a wide cross-section of the population as “Cantus Buranus”: next to the die-hard CORVUS CORAX fans, there were lovers of metal, white collars, children with their 85 year old grandmothers, security agents who listen to Bushido at home and unsuspecting Chinese, who simply wanted to see a German show for a change. And EVERYBODY was truly captivated. Every show ended with standing ovations. In China the audience had tears in their eyes and a ‘little wonder’ happened: people lined up to buy the CDs.

100Blumen I Love Violence Review
Four years after their first self released 7″, 100BLUMEN return with another two-track dose on vinyl. “I Love Violence” transforms this outstanding band’s treatment of (apparently) antithetic style into a unique statement of anger, corrosiveness and power. “World of Grief” is a hazardous blast of technoid industrial – vibrant synths carried by pulsing breakbeats erect the foundation for the memorable lyrics. You might be vexed while listening to the mellow string introduction on the flip side but then you will be caught short by an abrupt heavy guitar and a fast rock drum kit. This 7″ is a perfect combination of punk and electronics. Black vinyl with poster-cover and sticker.

Mono-Amine Do Not Bend Review
In Neurochemistry, mono-amines are crucial for bringing the brain to a state of arousal and euphoric rush. Musically, MONO-AMINE is Joost Gransjean’s intense and adventurous project and live act which is based in the Hague (Netherlands). Joost started performing live in 1997 and since 2004 has released 12″ singles/EPs and albums on various labels. MONO-AMINE has its very own style of music: dark, distorted, layered, straight in your face and with a sick fresh groove, coupled with indudustial and a feeling for club appeal. The end result is relentless rhythm and escalating walls of sound. Complex and fast-paced drumwork lead into barrages of rhythmic noise; heavily textured synth waves and vicious samples intertwine into the layers of a constantly evolving, shifting percussive aural world. This is a skillfully made album that is very suitable for fans of raw technoid industrial – do not miss!

BT Movement in Still Life [Re-Issue] Review
BT’s third and best-selling album “Movement in Still Life” was out of print for a long time but is now finally available again!

Shortly after its initial release, the album caught the attention of all the big players and no less than five of its tracks ended up on the “Artist Profile” mix compilations of FERRY CORSTEN, ARMIN VAN BUUREN and also featured on TIËSTO’s “In Search of Sunrise” series.

Many of BT’s fans will remember titles as “Godspeed”, “Namasté”, “Mercury and Solace”, “Giving Up the Ghost” and “Dreaming”.

The album sold very, very well in both the UK and USA and is still in high demand. It is for that reason that a re-release the full album has been decided upon, this time in the shape of an expanded double disc, complete with hard-to-find and exclusive remixes and bonus tracks.

Inertia vs Mechanical Cabaret Johnny, Remember Me Review
A special CD single released to mark the London show on 10th September 2010 by these two bands together billed as “INERTIA vs MECHANICAL CABARET”.

This CD was created as a tribute to the legendary UK music producer, JOE MEEK, of whom both bands are big fans. “Johnny, Remember Me” was originally released in 1961, performed by JOHN LEYTON and produced by Meek in his infamous Holloway Road recording studio. Now INERTIA and MECHANICAL CABARET give it their own combined twist.

A mixture of electro, industrial, synthpop and 80s high-energy sleazyness makes this single a very unique release!

INERTIA and MECHANICAL CABARET will be touring together in 2011.

Ultra Milkmaids Medecine Review
ULTRA MILKMAIDS celebrate their fifteenth sound carrier anniversary on white vinyl. Always unpredictable and surprising, this French project return to their roots and their first musical affection – abstract and ambient music – and this album marks a perfect bridging between both of these electronic subgenres. Starting with “Elixir”‘s beautiful melancholic string arrangements, the listener’s journey continues with clicks and cuts blending into slow, majestic piano melodies and post-psychedelic sound walls (“This Is Time”). Let yourself flow with a little “Injection” (No.1) of soothing guitar drones and dive deeply into DC Hammond’s keyboard layers, discrete and melodic at the same time. Follow the path of the reverberated guitar pads on “Cotton Energy”, and before getting lost, see the drones reappear, surrounded with ruminant synth lines. Open up, let yourself go, and – as the artists advise – ‘disconnect your mind and fall into the world of the MILKMAIDS’!

Access to Arasaka void(); Review
After the out-of-nowhere success of his debut CD “Oppidan” in 2009, the Rochester-based producer Rob Lioy, aka, ACCESS TO ARASAKA returns a year later, stronger and more focused than ever, with a stunning new album entitled “void();”.

Sixteen new tracks of dark sonic futurism inspired by the history and future of system hacking. From the phone phreaks to the console cowboys; dirty hippies using blue boxes at payphones 40 years ago, to the unborn children wandering cyberspace 40 years from now. An open invitation for the listener to imagine what a computer might attempt to comprehend when its system is under such an attack. Perfectly dark, cinematic, and complex.

Dirk Geiger Autumn Fields Review
After an initial introduction from KLANGSTABIL’s Maurizio Blanco, German composer and head of the label Raumklang Music, Dirk Geiger, arrived on Tympanik’s doorstep with a serendipitous collection of experimental IDM works entitled “Autumn Fields”.

The CD includes remixes by SVART1 and ACCESS TO ARASAKA.

Stahlmann Hass Mich…Lieb Mich Review
With their first self-produced EP, STAHLMANN managed to enter the official German club/radio/DJ charts and secure top positions for several months. Without a doubt they are the band of the hour, the rising star that you will see explode and come to full bloom very soon, combining melancholic rock with heavy guitar riffs and electronic sounds with strong hit appeal. In addition to their musical qualities, their sensational stage attire (all members wear black suits and have silver-painted heads on stage) serves to make them even more ‘concrete’, recognizable and memorable for anybody who has ever seen them play live.

They have already appeared as special guest on EISBRECHER’s sold out “Eiszeit” tour this autumn, and the single “Hass Mich…Lieb Mich” (“Hate Me, Love Me”) preceeds their debut album, to be released shortly.

NOW AVAILABLEThe Birthday Massacre Pins and Needles Review
THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE are the leading lights of the new generation of dark electronic bands (no spooky kid is complete without owning all their albums). The Toronto-based synth rock band create a captivating hybrid of 80s electronica and aggressive guitars, curiously fused with cinematically dark melodic progressions. With the new album entitled “Pins and Needles”, THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE further refine the unique sound explored on their highly-acclaimed previous albums “Walking with Strangers”, “Violet”, and the classic debut “Nothing and Nowhere”. From the opening notes of the lead track “In the Dark” to the closing chimes of “Secret”, it is evident that “Pins and Needles” is THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE at their collective best. The interplay of driving guitar and rhythm sections, the captivating vocals and atmospheric keyboards envelop the listener. “Pins and Needles”, mixed by David Ogilvie (producer of SKINNY PUPPY, MARILYN MANSON, KILLING JOKE), promises to be a harder and darker experience than all previous albums, contrasted by the shining melodic vocals of lead singer Chibi.

Deine Lakaien Indicator Review
“Older, wiser, but still we are these fighters” – one line from DEINE LAKAIEN’s song “Along our Road” expresses the message of their new album in a nutshell. One might equally say: farewell legends – welcome to reality. For, after a voyage of over twenty years’ duration, DEINE LAKAIEN are ready to ditch all the old ballast and every last cliché to present the most exciting album of their entire career.

Few bands have so polarised opinion over the last two and a half decades as this duo, singer Alexander Veljanov and keyboard player Ernst Horn: it’s always been a straight case of love or hate. Yet only a few notes of the opener suffice to recognise that past judgements – good or bad – no longer hold true. Tired categorizations are a thing of the past for this band. Having laid aside their masks and stepped out from the shadow of their history, the two dedicated performers are centred more clearly than ever in their own selves – which is an open invitation to listeners across the board to step into their world.

It’s exactly five years since Veljanov and Horn released their last studio album “April Skies” but they haven’t just been twiddling their thumbs in the meantime. They celebrated their twentieth anniversary with an opulent orchestral tour and continue to pursue their long-standing tradition of acoustic tours: opportunities enough for a little soul-searching.

“Indicator” doesn’t simply rehash tried and tested formulas. It heralds a whole new era. Anyone who’s always appreciated DEINE LAKAIEN will find on this album a fine range of what the duo has always done well. Both musicians have, after all, crammed tons of experience into their tour luggage. One aspect is even more important than their return to electronic sounds: DEINE LAKAIEN now work to create intimacy with their listeners. They now have courage enough for poetic simplicity of a kind they have rarely attempted before. Their songs may still be highly emotional but divested of any touch of pathos they sound refreshingly carefree and light.

In addition to political and social commentaries the album also presents a few wonderful ballads and love songs. Yet DEINE LAKAIEN place the heady heights of emotion in the context of global developments. After 25 years they no longer want to wax lyrical about the theme of all themes, like some dashing romantics in the first boisterous throes of puberty. In terms both of content and music, “Indicator” is a multifaceted, intense album that embraces the world’s diversity, dreams and hopes, yet also relentlessly faces up to reality. The title “Indicator” must be understood also in that light. DEINE LAKAIEN consciously chose a no-nonsense motto, not only for the listeners’ sake but also for their own, and as a signpost on their new path. Because they’re older, wiser, but still these old fighters…

Underworld Barking Review
To celebrate their 30th year together, UNDERWORLD return triumphantly with their first new album in almost three years. “Barking” is the duo’s sixth studio album and the first time Karl Hyde and Rick Smith have collaborated with other producers. The record enlists the help of techno wizards MARK KNIGHT and D. RAMIREZ (“Always Loved a Film”, “Between Stars”) plus a whole cast of brilliant and like- minded producers from across the spectrum of modern dance music, each adding personal touches to the band’s original material. Enter Welsh drum’n’bass artist HIGH CONTRAST (“Scribble”, “Moon in Water”), four-time Grammy winner DUBFIRE (“Bird 1”, “Grace”), Bristol-based dubstep producers APPLEBLIM and AL TOURETTES (“Hamburg Hotel”), plus long term UNDERWORLD team member DARREN PRICE (“Between Stars”).

The question is, with such a glittering cast of extras, how does it actually sound? From the first undulating pulses of submariner bass, the first vocals – soft like a whisper in the ear – and the first fizz of hi-hats that force along the pace, the sound is unmistakably UNDERWORLD. Electronics wrapped effortlessly around songs; streams of consciousness lyrics that form indelible images; a perfectly balanced mix of melody and rhythm. UNDERWORLD’s sixth studio album is a thundering return to form, although it’s fair to say that the band responsible have never really been below par. Like the bomb on the Icarus II in Sunshine, this new process of working had the effect of not so much reigniting a creativity within the band as exploding it into myriad new fragments. And through all of this, brilliantly and uniquely, it sounds just like UNDERWORLD.

So, thirty years in and by working with a series of handpicked co-conspirators you make the best album of your career? It was a long shot, but for UNDERWORLD in 2010, maybe playing away was just the trick. This just leaves the question of who they’ll get into bed with next time. Roll on album seven.

Android Lust The Human Animal Review
Begun in 1995, ANDROID LUST is the musical project of Shikhee, a fiercely independent woman born in Bangladesh, schooled in England and the USA, and now living near New York City. Shikhee is involved in all aspects of her musical production, a rarity in Industrial music where most women seem to be limited to singing swoopily over other peoples’ music. The result is some of the most compelling and challenging industrial music available today.

“The Human Animal” is the fourth studio release from this project, a journey through the psyche of mankind, realising the futility of living in the grips of ego and withdrawing to seek answers within. It comes four years after the release of “Devour, Rise and Take Flight”, a track from which garnered a spot on the official Navy NCIS soundtrack album. “The Human Animal” sees Shikhee collaborating with her live band for the first time in a studio release, giving it an unexpected organic warmth while maintaining her trademark machine edge that cuts uncomfortably if you dare to let it in.

Code 64 Trialogue Review
Finally one of the most requested and highly anticipated albums of 2010 is here. Code 64, “Trialogue”.

Bjørn Marius Borg, Christian Espeland and Hans-Olof Mattsson, better known to the world as the Swedish/Norwegian trio CODE 64 are finally back with their long-awaited new album “Trialogue”. After the departure of the old singer Henrik Piehl (shortly after their last album “Departure”) the band have worked harder than ever in the studio with new vocalist Bjørn Marius Borg taking Henrik’s place.

And their efforts have certainly paid off. “Trialogue” is a fourteen-track electronic journey filled with brilliant and strong pieces. Catchy, danceable melodies with Bjørn’s forceful vocals above them for place CODE 64 among the top artists within the electronic scene. The first (digital only) single off the album (“Stasis”) climbed to the top of several alternative charts in April/May when it was released.

If you like acts like VNV NATION, SEABOUND, MIND.IN.A.BOX, MESH and IRIS, you will not be disappointed with this album. One of the strongest electropop albums for years! Released on the quality Swedish label Progress Productions, whose slogan “Quality before quantity” has been proven time and time again. And “Trialogue” is NO exception from this high standard.

Tenek On the Wire Review
Following in the trail of last year’s critically acclaimed début album “Stateless”, “On the Wire” sees the return of a more worldly-wise TENEK. The songs and sound have stepped up a notch as the band continue to mature and experiment with new themes and influences. They have all the elements that you would expect from this act – solid electro grooves with nods to the past, present and future and hooks that are simply relentless. A lot has happened for the band in the last eighteen months and it shows! Having toured extensively throughout the UK, mainland Europe and Russia with artists such as MESH, JOHN FOXX, GARY NUMAN, THE HUMAN LEAGUE, DE/VISION, A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS, IRIS and ASSEMBLAGE 23, TENEK have grown in confidence and channelled their experiences back into their music.

Credible and satisfying, “On the Wire” has turned up the power and emotion with new songs that are deeply engaging and uplifting. A strong, confident second album of pounding electronic rhythms, driving guitars and simple but powerfully affecting choruses that will be running around inside your head for days.

Various Artists The Cramps’ Jukebox Review
When LUX INTERIOR and POISON IVY, founder members and mainstays of the legendary CRAMPS, were invited onto a New Jersey radio station in 2004 to discuss the recent release of their “How to Make a Monster” rarities collection, they barely mentioned the product in question and instead, over the 50 or so minutes of airtime they were allocated, sang the virtues of the records they had both accumulated during a lifetime of collecting and listening to scarce and obscure 45s, all of which, we were told, had ‘a sound to die for’.

Disc 1 of this 2CD set contains thirty original recordings of the songs that this fiendish duo either gave mention to during this interview, or covered, sang the praises of, or otherwise made public during their delightfully colourful career – albeit one tragically ended by the untimely death of Lux in 2009.

But as “Chop Suey Rock”, “Do You Mean Jelly Bean” and “Caterpillar Crawl” rub shoulders with 27 other gems from an oeuvre it’s difficult to name but easy to recognise, a rare glimpse of the music which informed the work of one of America’s finest ever acts is presented here for all to enjoy and learn from. Disc 2 of the set includes the full recording of the very interview mentioned above, plus a variety of other discussions with the pair, made throughout the golden age of THE CRAMPS.

Tristania Rubicon Review
Twelve years after their acclaimed debut, and three years on from their previous release, Norwegian goth metal pioneers TRISTANIA are back with their long-awaited sixth studio album.

With “Rubicon”, a mature and confident band proves that it is indeed possible to sustain a highly creative standard for over twelve years, and yet continually deliver sweeping music laden with emotion. Far removed from the mediocracy of the genre, they remain true to their art form, while embracing both progress and variety. In this way, the band strikes the perfect balance between heavy riffs, catchy melodies and swirling keyboard lines. The experience is centered around Mariangela Demurtas, whose unique voice majestically conquers both moving ballads (such as “Exile”) and engrossing metal tracks (like “Patriot Games”). Not unlike previous TRISTANIA releases, special attention should be paid to the well thought out and sophisticated vocal harmonies between the male and female counterparts, which leave any would-be contender lying in the dust. Such attention to detail creates an album that is much more than a mere collection of songs, but rather a holistic work of art, complete with an intense and tangible atmosphere. The album also features a very special guest musician: the highly gifted violinist Pete Johansen embellishes a TRISTANIA release for the first time since “World of Glass”. Likewise, Waldemar Sorychta’s (THERION, MOONSPELL, THE GATHERING) contributions as consultant and co-producer will allow him to add yet another gothic classic jewel to his credits. “Rubicon” is a remarkable and breathtaking emotional journey, which will spellbind any true gothic metal fan.

Liv Kristine Skintight Review
Brand new album from LEAVES EYES and former THEATRE OF TRAGEDY frontwoman, LIV KRISTINE.

With “Skintight”, a remarkable voice leaves a lasting mark in the world of music: LIV KRISTINE’s voice rings out and time stands still. Certain albums cannot be simply heard casually, as they leave a lasting impression. Certain albums captivate the listener with such intensity that he or she becomes part of the music. LIV KRISTINE’s “Skintight” is one of these rare artistic works of handcrafted pop. The Norwegian songstress manages to create an oasis of authenticity with her third solo album. Guitars and percussion solely build the foundation upon which to celebrate her fascinating vocals. This consciously spartan presentation allows for a surprising emotional journey. The title track “Skintight”, or the darker hit “Boy at the Window”, are rocking mid-tempo tracks that contrast the more touching ballads such as “Twofold” or the lively “Wonders”. On the ballad “The Rarest Flower” her voice seems to hauntingly brush up against the skin. Each song represents a facet of a diversified life, with Liv opening up her soul for the world to see, allowing us to break away from the humdrum of daily life.

Liv Kristine achieves the impossible by creating a studio album with an incredibly real live atmosphere. “Skintight” frees the senses and allows desire to enjoy life to the fullest.

Aktive.Hate In Terrorem Review
Another great newcomer to the Advoxya label, and also another great debut, this time from Portugal. Nearly two years after releasing his debut as a free web download, and one year after putting out his second demo record, Alex Mr ISK (the electrobrain behind the project AKTIVE.HATE) is on the air again with fifteen fresh, new, previously unreleased songs. His first physical release “In Terrorem” demonstrates his deep potential and talent in all synthpop and dark electro genres. AKTIVE.HATE is one of the most interesting acts among the young breed of electro scene. Created in 2007 to explore a slightly different vein of sound, AKTIVE.HATE soon evolved into a presence of its own, slowly defining itself as more than just a secondary offshoot. Dealing with both hate and love, pain and pleasure, this music strives to touch the whole spectrum of human feelings. Dirty, dark, and vicious. Hurtful, sorrowful and hateful.

Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio Do Angels Never Cry and Heaven Never Fall? Review
ORDO ROSARIUS EQUILIBRIO are easily one of the most enigmatic and intense projects to grace the non-mainstream music scene. On this new EP “Do Angels Never Cry and Heaven Never Fall?”, the Swedish duo invokes massive orchestral soundscapes, apocalyptic folk visions and ritual drums, intertwined with haunting, yet memorable melodies.

With the title track (presented in two different versions each sporting a different musical approach) and the other two new songs featured here, ORDO ROSARIUS EQUILIBRIO address some of the more profound questions of human existence in their most accessible output to date. An enthralling listening experience fuelled by art, passion and fragility. This new EP is an excellent appetizer for the upcoming album, but BEWARE: it is strictly limited to only 1000 copies, so grab yours fast!

Midnight Configuration The Unquiet Void Review
MIDNIGHT CONFIGURATION have always defied categorisation. They have always flouted musical and social conventions, rather going after their own vision and dancing to the beat of their own particular drum. This album is the distilled essence of what makes this band tick. It is a journey through the ideas and motivations of the band and takes the listener to some very dark places indeed. In fact, at times, “the veil” between the worlds is somewhat thin and one wonders if the music is the magical catalyst that enables the transformation of our world to another …… it’s 3am, a souls’ midnight and the void of darkness and beyond is at its closest and is indeed “Unquiet”.

Limited to 1,000 copies.

NEW SOUNDCLIPSW.A.S.T.E. A Silent Mantra of Rage Review
We all have mantras we say in our heads silently everyday. Mantras to get through and tolerate our daily lives; good or bad. “A Silent Mantra of Rage” is a description that could be put on any political figure, any blue-collar worker, or anyone who has ever been in a relationship that they know deep down is wrong and/or is doing the wrong thing without choice for reasons that everyone has to endure. You have to put up with your boss on a daily basis; allowing them to cut you down to size so you can pay the bills for a house containing a partner who doesn’t respect you. You are working for a government who you know is corrupt and doesn’t truly give a shit about your well-being unless it fills their palms with gold. It’s about a realization that comes to everyone’s life at some point and a reality we all have to swallow forever in order to survive, because there is no escape.

The third release from Southern California’s premier rhythmic noise act, W.A.S.T.E., “A Silent Mantra of Rage” consists of twelve all-new tracks featuring “Marked for Extinction” and “The Death March”. Also included is a bonus disc with previously unreleased tracks, the long-awaited versions of “Omega 3” and “I Don’t Give a Fuck”, plus re-mixes by XOTOX, MONO NO AWARE, CONTAMINANT, C/A/T, MONO-AMINE, ALTER DER RUINE, THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF EUROPE, and many more!

CombiChrist Making Monsters Review
If there is one person with ample experience in unleashing sonic monsters unto mankind, it must be Andy LaPlegua, front-berserker and head of Norwegian/US electro-industrial force of nature, COMBICHRIST. The band has spent most of the past one and a half years since the release of their previous highly successful long player on tour, including supporting legendary German band RAMMSTEIN on their European tour along the way. All the manifold impressions and experiences have certainly left their mark on the new album, which is easily the most versatile release of their career.

The new COMBICHRIST monster is loud, massive and direct, as one has come to expect from this band, and features incendiary floor fillers such as the advance single “Never Surrender” that are among the hardest hits Andy and his lads have ever produced. At the same time minimal electro influences, menacing slo-mo-steamrollers and an sprinkling of melodic elements have been seeping their way into the sound, evolving “Making Monsters” into an inferno of the intense kind.

This limited special edition features a bonus DVD with an infernal live performance by COMBICHRIST, including their latest single “Scarred”.

Parralox Supermagic [German Import] Review
PARRALOX announce the release of “Supermagic” as the first single from their forthcoming new album “Metropolis”, scheduled for release in November 2010. A radio-friendly combination of pop and electro, this release is an inspirational mix of GOLDFRAPP and KYLIE MINOGUE, its finger on the pulse of the new, yet at the same time looking back into the past for a touch of inspiration. With the crystal clear and slightly sensual vocals of lead singer Amii, “Supermagic” will grab you so tightly that it will be impossible to resist!

In addition to the revamped “Supermagic (Radio Version)”, this CD EP also features two wonderful maxi versions of the track, namely the “Extended Radio version” and the “Original Extended Version”. Another highlight – which appears on this German edition only – is the ASSEMBLAGE 23 Edit. Tom Shear imbues the song his own typical musical style and elevates it to a whole new level. And as a further bonus there is the previously unreleased “Full Length Dark Version” of “Time”. This version is featured as the soundtrack to the radio drama series “Cry Of Fear (2) Feeder – Traces of Blood”, and has already elicited a flood of positive reactions.

Finally, with the full-length versions of brand new tracks “Homecoming” and “Failure” (edited versions appear on the digital release), we are treated to a wonderful glimpse of the eclectic mixture of tracks from the forthcoming album “Metropolis” from this amazing Australian duo.

Ministry MiXXXes of the Molé Review
MINISTRY’s 2004 release “Houses of the Molé” got critical acclaim from both media and MINISTRY fans worldwide. Molé was also the first installment of Jourgensen’s political trilogy of terror toward the Bush administration and the Gulf War. As much as Molé’s title was a reference to LED ZEPPELIN’s “Houses of the Holy” and Jourgensen’s favorite Mexican sauce, it was surely no Southwestern rock’n’roll cookbook. “MiXXXes of the Molé”, however, serves to pick up where Molé left off – each re-recorded, re-mixxxed and re-mastered track spicier than the last! The fifth in a series of 13th Planet remix genre-bending ‘trance metal’ attacks, “MiXXXes of The Molé” is destined for dancefloors all over the world with its punchy metal grooves and way-too-heavy bass lines determined to mosh with the best of solar plexus in the country!

Jesus On Extasy No Gods Review
“Synthesizers lend themselves just as much to being smashed as guitars. Perhaps even more.” JESUS ON EXTASY’s rollercoaster career has left its marks on the vocalist who, together with co-founder Chai Deveraux, embarked in 2005 on the mission of packaging suffering and love into digital rock songs. After JOE had shared the stage with other antichrist superstars such as MARILYN MANSON, PROJECT PITCHFORK, TOOL and SKINNY PUPPY, “the danger of losing touch with reality was great”, Dorian confesses today.

The digital dandies returned to planet Earth after their exhilaration waned, informing their fans of this fact in the title track of their third album, “No Gods”. Sound guru Tim Schuldt was asked to channel the band’s energetic fields – “the right man at the right time”, the vocalist with the double D feels. “We wanted our music to sound harder, more rocking. Show steel, sweat and muscles, as we say in the Ruhr area.” Their new motto is to take life into their own hands and rebel if need be. “The true heroes are all those who won’t let themselves be blinded and who continue to fight against the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. It’s high time somebody set BP’s headquarters on fire.” JOE are bringing the powder keg. Anybody got a light?

Iris Blacklight Review
Their story of success started with the release of their debut CD “Disconnect”. A few years later, Reagan Jones (singer) hooked up with new member Andrew Sega (music), and started a whole new chapter in the band’s history. Adding some guitars to the mix, and taking the production in a more experimentally electronic direction, IRIS released “Awakening” in 2003. It was memorably organic, powerful, and really showcased Reagan’s strong songwriting. This would also be the first Iris release on Andrew’s new label, Diffusion Records.

The success of this record led to a European release deal with Infacted Recordings, a full tour of Germany and Switzerland, and festival dates in Sweden and the UK. Followed in 2005 by “Wrath”, rock-oriented songs collided with electronic beats and evocative, atmospheric soundscapes. The first single, “Appetite” went to number 1 on mainstream radio in Poland, and the band set off again for more European shows, festivals in Moscow and London, and tourdates with electro-pop luminaries such as DE/VISION and MESH.

In 2010 IRIS now finally present their fourth official studio album, and make no mistake, it is yet another masterpiece in electronic pop! Nine MASSIVE songs – actually: HYMNS! By the way… “Violator” by DEPECHE MODE also contained nine songs…

Iris Closer to Real Review
Andrew Sega and Reagen Jones, aka IRIS, return after a long period of silence! For years, the US-based electropop band has been rated as one of the best of the genre, and frequent touring with the likes of MESH and DE/VISION has done wonders for their ever-growning fanbase.

“Closer to Real” is the lead single from the forthcoming fourth studio album “Blacklight” which is due to be released in september 2010. The single is to be released worldwide exclusively on Infacted Recordings, and is NOT licensed to any of the bands license partners.

Four new smashing electropop tunes on a limited single. Be fast! The single will NOT be repressed!!!

00tz 00tz Frequency Damage Review
After 00TZ 00TZ’s (yes, spelled with zeroes) very successful debut release, “Death by Numbers”, they now hit even harder with a more mature follow-up release entitled “Frequency Damage”. This album now features full vocals by Krysta Veronica Button.

“Frequency Damage” incorporates harsh electro, industrial and EBM styles of music, while creating a powerhouse blast of dancefloor-pounding beats and melodic synth rhythms, filled with memorable samples and thought-provoking lyrics behind dark flirtatious vocals.

Songs like “Metamorphosis”, “Human Condition”, “Change the World” and “Eyes” will be sure to fill industrial dancefloors everywhere.
