*ARMY OF THE UNIVERSE, ITALIAN ELECTRO-INDUSTRIAL DUO,* *RELEASE DEBUT ON METROPOLIS MAY 24*
*MOTHER IGNORANCE PRODUCED BY CHRIS VRENNA (NINE INCH NAILS, MARILYN MANSON) *
PHILADELPHIA, May 3 – Army of the Universe, the Milan-based electro-industrial duo who received international acclaim for their * Lovedead* EP and open for Atari Teenage Riot in Europe later this month, will release their debut album, *Mother Ignorance*, on May 24 via Metropolis Records.
Army of the Universe’s debut album is far from the first foray into music for Trebla, who is a renowned European DJ under the moniker Albert Vorne. A Swiss native, he started his career as a late teen and experienced quick success with singles “Indigo” and “A Leaden Day.” The catapult to prominence put him side-by-side with superstars Armin van Buuren and Paul Oakenfold. Vorne relocated to Italy and remains one of the country’s most popular progressive and trance DJs.
*Mother Ignorance* was recorded in the latter half of 2010 in Los Angeles with Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson) handling production. A cover of Björk’s “*Army of Me*” is amongst the fourteen-song collection.
