One of our new recruits jsut got done with a Bella Morte interview and I'm supposed to be hanging out with them when I go to VA. Still haven't heard the new one yet. Let me know how it is! All I really know of them is their live show I saw, and it kicked ass.  8)

I listened some tracks yesterday and even if the cover is nothing special, it seemed to me a good one.
Not too goth, not too electro but really powerful  :P

They definitely have that laid back VA attitude, and alot of fun loving mood in their music and persona. I wish I would have known about them in VA, maybe I would have stuck around. I went 4 years thinking there was not one goth or electronic band there whatsoever and I was surrounded by three cities!
Perhaps they are starting a scene there, who knows. There is a big rap group from Virginia Beach called Clips who seems to be hitting it big (as much as I dislike rap), so perhaps we may have a spotlight on the scene there (which I obviously didn't see while there). I'm going back to visit in the summer so I'll check up some more bands of the like over there and bring them back to you guys if I see any.

The interview with Bella Morte by our fabulous Li has just been posted online two days ago. Give it up for Li, who is also the person who helps Chain D.L.K. post live events into the calendar!

Talking to her Li is also an incredibly nice and kickass person, very sincere into the scene. I definitely look forward to seeing more interviews from her!
Note to readers: This could be you, we need interviewers!!!!! Don't sit around going "well if I ever talked to Joe Blow from Yakkety Smackety......." join us and make it happen! ;-)

I agree, well put!  and I will deffinately be doing more  ;)  Thanks guys.  As for the Bella Morte CD, most people seem to like it better than "Where Shadows Lie".

I saw a free show of their's with a friend of mine a while back, maybe last August. They got a very energetic live show, kinda like The Misfits kicked up about 20 knotches. They and Dripping Rictus, who are a local band, fucking smoked live. You would not believe the energy BM has live, the singer bounces around like a ferret on twenty gallons of expresso!
Also I got to meet them and talk to them a bit. Found out they come from Charlottesville,VA, a few minutes drive from where I used to live in Hampton. We talked about VA a little bit, they think it rules, I thought it was boring. To each their own! Very nice guys, they have that laid back VA attitude. They remind me of my friend Cody from there, same everything.
