ANY ACTUAL GOTH CD's THIS YEAR?

As the title says, are there any real goth CD's this year not aimed at making you shake your ass, and have no boom boom beats to it? God, goth is such a joke nowadays, hopefully things will make a turnaround. Only real goth bands to release a CD this year were Diary of Dreams (now a dance group I see) and Clan of Xymox (a fucking remix cd!!!!!!!!!!).

secondly, I have a few CD reviews that might interest you at http://rhythmus.net/  Look for reviews of bands like Butterfly Messiah, Belle Morte, Arcane Art, Dark Muse, and many others - most of my stuff tends to be EBM and Industrial but there is a smattering of Goth bands in there too.

There are still some good ones out there but admitedly they seem harder to find amidst all the VNV Nations and Covenant's out there!  Not that that's a bad thing as I like EBM too but for strict adherents to Goth I can see the delima.

Well Ikon has a new one coming out soon, so there is hope. I like EBM and all that too (not his new shit they call EBM), but it's too much of one thing. And on the other hand it's the death of yet another genre.
It's sad though how bands are just looking for another 'shake your moneymaker' song these days, and always talking about "well we have another floor filler". I'm the idiot sitting in the corner wondering where the emotional music went.
Rotting Christ's new CD makes for some good goth-metal though. Metal seems to be bringing more of it in these days. I can't wait to go see Paradise Lost live, they are a great little goth metal/rock group from Britain.

Now you're talking! Ikon fucking owns! I was supposed to interview them several months ago,and they confirmed it, but I think they just simply forgot about me :-(
I'd highly recommend both Septic Flesh's "Sumerean Daemons" and Artica's newest CD for good current goth, though SF tends to blend a good deal of death and doom metal in with it.

A real goth cd eh? That kind of hard.You see where I live everyone listens to pop music (I can't belive this is happening to me ). But I think a good goth (ok not pure goth but still) band is the 69 eyes.Of cource I'm luky even to hear about it. Shit why would I care if Be-what's-her-name made a videoclip with Shakira? Give metal for crying out loud !!!
