Hi Everybody!

My name is Deidre, I am an American girl and have been living in Germany for three years. My German husband and I run an experimental record label STATEART www.stateart.de (ours) and a mailorder SUBLIME www.sublime-mailorder.com (mine) and a distribution NEXUS www.nexusound.com (his). Hey! this introduction is good publicity too, haha :-D

Anyway, I came to know ChainD.L.K initially through Maurizio P. and have been a frequent visitor to the site for awhile now. My musical tastes are pretty broad, I like almost everything, so my CD collection consists of people like Metallica, God Speed You! Black Emperor, The Legendary Pink Dots, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, The Doors, Lustmord, Pink Floyd, and much more. 

I like cats, American football (Go Oakland Raiders!) brilliant films in the vein of David Lynch and Orson Wells, good food, good wine, spending time with people I love and working with energetic, creative people.

I hate babies and small children (I have a phobia, they scare the hell out of me) politics, cooking, being on time, being around people I dislike and having to try to work with lazy, non-caring people.

My motto is: "The heart afraid of dying never learns to live." Ok, kind of cheesy I know. But I've always liked that saying, and I always try to remember that whenever I am indecisive or afraid to make a change, and it helps -  because it's true.

I send everyone here best wishes from the Schwarzwald, and look forward to reading other introductions!
