CD-Reviews by Mark Tater
« on: May 20, 2007, 12:12:33 PM »
The guy has got NO CLUE about music!!

I was shocked if I read the reviews of the 2 new german Bands (Re)Adjust and Stahlschlag (out on Hypervoxx Recordings)!
Does he listened completely and with patience this both CD´s?? Seem like NO!
He doen´t speak german so how can it be that he writes such a shit about the lyrics of (Re)Adjust?!
This guy should go home and write for a middle-school magazine but not for this board!!!
He should do all the things better before he writes such a bad review of 2 real cool and fantastic bands!!!

I´m really satisfied with both releases and I know what I´m talking about because I write for several famous magazines all over the world since about for more than a decade!!!

Mark Tater: SHAME ON YOU!!!

Dear SiNa,

many thanks for a reaction and a comment on my reviews on both latest Hypervoxx releases - although not a very friendly one...

Let me interpret both reviews. This link provided by our "searching reviews" engine gives you a look on both reviews:
http://www.chaindlk.com/reviews/index.php?search=stahlschlag&type=music&category=0&format=0

Stahlschlag has received a very positive review with 4 out of 5 stars (note: I've never-ever given a rating of 5/5 stars...), so... what's the matter here?
I had in the meantime a nice talk with the band and they totally agree on the points I made, so I really can't follow your complaining on this. You may like to make your points clear here?

Re-Adjust has received 3/5 stars, quite average maybe. But where's the point? I have the impression that you're a bit pissed regarding the track "Queen of Beauty", but if this is the point which disturbs you, why do you start to rant against my work on both reviews generally?

It's nice to hear and to see you active for the scene. But be sure that I'm following this kind of music since the mid-80ies and that you're not the only one on earth, who knows his/her business.
I rather miss a more professional attitude from you, because if "you really know what you're talking about", you know some rules of creating reviews. It's fine to get reactions on my reviews, but your tone is quite amateurish.

Was soll ich denn dazu sagen?

Marc Tater

as we all said before on side-line. Marc-you know your stuff and you are very professional and honest in every regard. Cheers to you for doing such an effective job in reviews and interviews!

I find it funny that this Sina can say she writes for many popular mags but doesn't have the foresight to name drop even one to back up her argument. FAIL ;)

Hi Michael,   8)

thanks for all the nice comments. I had meanwhile a private email contact with this person, which was rather more laughable  ;D
What a pity that you don't read German, I would like to forward that stuff to you just to share some fun stuff. As she hasn't ever replied here, I rather guess she's vanished and hides herself in shame.
Like you I heavily doubt that she has ever done something valuable in form to write for magazines.
All is fine, and all participated people (the label and the bands) had their fun.
Thanks

Marc

You're right, dude. He should go back to school and check for "germanic grammar" for him to shoot the lyrics and not to pretend he knows it?haha. What a weird attempt? :)
