Greece's
"synth punk" act Mechanimal (Giannis Papaioanou, Freddie Faulkenberry)
unveil the first taste from their forthcoming album, Crux. "Stolen
Flesh" arrives with an emotional clip shot and directed by Christos
Karalias.

“Stolen Flesh" follows the single "Holy Punk" which
was a teaser for what's to come. Mechanimal's 4th album is out January
27 via Inner Ear.

Giannis P. says about the song: ""Stolen
Flesh" is dedicated to the loving memory of a dear friend we lost.
It's about how it feels when you lose a dear person: all the love
unveils in its magnitude in a very painful procedure. But we remain
here to keep this love and all memories alive by beautifying every
little crack and detail in our everyday life."

A survival guide in the age of regularity by listening to
electronic music.

"Crux" is an in-depth exploration of the
past, present, and (possible) future of everyday life with the aim of
personal awakening. It focuses on an idea that can account for the
melding of seemingly incompatible musical worlds and theories with
respect to the mechanisms of each one of them. It could easily be
described as the absolute “crossover” album of Mechanimal, or
simply the one where the ideas and obsessions of its members meet at
the heart of the mechanical animal.

"Crux" is the Mechanimal
manifesto. It consists of electronic music, spoken word, cut-up images
and videos, deconstructed slogans, ideas and actions. A
multidimensional collage inspired by the harsh reality, or otherwise
the violent regularity that is "enforced" (by the new music industry
to home entertainment and by "fake news" to climate change), and at
the same time criticized.

Believing that everything is
political and that we are all guilty of what is happening, Mechanimal,
without limitation, use a fragmented sound palette to describe ten
stories of reality deconstructed. From the death-trap of "Ghetto
Level" and the raw industrial resonances of "Easy Dead" and
"Scavengers" and from the pagan techno of "Razor Tube" and "Vanquish"
to the feverish post-punk of "Red Mirror", Mechanimal want, not only
to escape the inherent limitations of each genre, but also to break
down the barriers that do not allow all genres to become
one.

"Crux" recording sessions began in January 2019 and ended
in August at the band's own studio. This album hosts guest musicians:
Jimmy Polioudis (guitars on "Sharon" and "Easy Dead"), Henrik
Meierkord (cello on "Scavengers" and "La Poverina Delle Ossa"),
Vasiliki Mazaraki (violin on "Scavengers" and "La Poverina Delle
Ossa”) and George Theofanidis (guitars in "Red
Mirror").

For the first
time, San Francisco legend Thomas Dimuzio presents an all
Buchla-synthesizer album. Custom algorithmic crossfades of complex
sound synthesis fuel this metabolism of mind and machine in real-time,
no overdubs. His Buchla 272e module incorporates a polyphonic FM tuner
introducing chance-factors snatched from live transmissions and
steered via algorithmic mixing through oscillator arrays and envelope
generators before spilling into the ears of blood-pumping audiences
huddled in the slanting five thousand foot shadow of SF's iconic Sutro
Tower. Each track is a site specific improvisation blooming in the
dark of two underground venues on opposite ends of Haight Street just
blocks from where Buchla invented the world's first
synthesizer.

Gothic rock band Cathedral In Flames has a new mini album out.

This
mini-album consists of 5 songs and is called “Children of The
Blackest Hole”. It was released worldwide via digital music
distribution on 28th November 2019 by the brand EZRN and now is
accompanied by the official video for the song Python. The EP is also
released in the form of a vinyl record.

The musical debut of
our Czech gothic rock legend was produced by Gatsby and its final
improvements including mastering were then completed in London by Pete
Maher, the legendary audio engineer who also co-worked with Depeche
Mode, Pixies and Rolling Stones.

This album was born of a
collaboration between visual artist sgt_slaughtermelon / Matt Wallace
and producer Funkatron / Ed Finkler.

The only vocals on
SGT_SLTR_MLN, from the track “Frentik,” are entirely generated by
computer. The lyrics are adapted from David Berkowitz’s infamous
“Son of Sam” letters.

"On first
listening to Dead Agent’s new ep SGT_SLTR_MLN, you can hear how the
casual listener could easily slot his driving yet steely sound in with
such bands as God Mod, Grendel and Aesthetic Perfection. But there
are two things Dead Agent has going for him that set him apart from
the rest of the thumping dance-pack. the programming and the fact that
the music is all instrumental.

The sounds unnerving, the
samples unexpected. His sound is future-facing and achingly
contemporary, but he draws from a deeper, earlier well than either
peers or predecessors. His music’s a collision point between Gary
Numan at his darkest and Cassandra Complex at their chilly, driving
“Moscow Idaho” zenith.

SGT_SLTR_MLN goes further though.
From the moment “Order Disorder” creeps in with its haunted beats
hammering away at your temples, to the last elegiac sweep of the hooky
“New Patterns.” Dead Agent’s music enthralls with both teeth
and antennae, its patterns and songs smooth and sleek yet utterly
