Welcome

Established in 1994, Chain D.L.K. is one of the longest-running and biggest online music communities for electronic, industrial, ambient, dark, experimental and new music. Daily updated news, reviews, interviews and community message boards to stay up to date on what’s going on…

WRITERS / CONTRIBUTORS WANTED

Chain D.L.K. is looking for RELIABLE AND ENTHUSIASTIC WRITERS interested in writing CD/vinyl/digital reviews and possibly doing interviews.
Chain D.L.K. is a non-for-profit entity so this position is not paid, however you may keep or re-sell the CDs, vinyl and tapes that we send you for review.
We need people who LOVE MUSIC and are PASSIONATE about music and who enjoy writing about it. We’ve been doing it since 1994 but it’s getting harder and harder to keep up with the volume of releases and we are trying to support everyone in this great scene!
Contact Marc Urselli from the Contact Page if you are interested.
Thank you

A Place Both Wonderful And Strange

A Place Both Wonderful And Strange

A Place Both Wonderful And Strange is the Brooklyn-based duo whose name, while a reference to the cult TV series Twin Peaks, also exemplifies the dynamic of their personality and sound.  Call it “occult electronica” or “doom gaze.”  Whatever. Call it what you will; they mix electronica, goth, shoegaze, and dream-pop among other genres to […]

Skrima

Skrima

It seems that CACs, MCs or simply tapes are living a (more or less welcomed) new golden age in the independent music market and there are even many sound artists who re-release stuff on this magnetic support, but the operation that Disasters By Choice made with a bunch of some old tapes by Sicilian producer […]

Mike Cooper

Mike Cooper

Following the review of “Tropical Gothic” (out on Discrepant and featuring a great collage cover artwork by Evan Crankshaw), his new awesome record, we had an interesting conversation with the British influential guitarist, polyhedral artist and authentic musical globetrotter Mike Cooper, who – unlike many musicians who get banal and predictable after two or three […]

Murder Weapons

Murder Weapons

We went to the band in […]

Park Jiha

Park Jiha

Park Jiha belongs to a rising tide of contemporary musicians from Korea who are reshuffling and combining traditional and modern music in a very fascinating way. According to the words attached to the introduction of her recent debut album “Communion” (out on Glitterbeat‘s sister label tak:til), which I highly recommend checking out, “her music combines the formalism […]

AlterRed

AlterRed

UK industrial/rock act AlterRed returns with the hard-hitting Trauma; Trauma Reinforcement available now on WTII Records. Definitely reflective of today’s hostile world, Trauma; Trauma Reinforcement takes the listener down a dark path filled with rage, instability, resistance and angst. This more aggressive AlterRed combines dirty guitars and heavy beats over thick layers of synths and […]
