"I had to fend
off a lot of demons to get to this point. They’ll be back, they
always come back, but at least my vision is no longer clouded… When
I was working on re-interpreting my old music for the Cold Meat
Industry festival in Stockholm a little over a year ago, I had no idea
that I´d eventually create an (almost) new record, nor that a section
of it would be used for my first Dungeon Synth video since 1996. But
here we are. New video and (almost) new music, and my first Era 1 US
tour since 1999."
Recently MORTIIS announced his return to North
America in 2019! He is set to embark on a 10-date trek from March 28th
to April 7th 2019.

To celebrate this event, this cult artist
is offering for a limited time only 24 MORTIIS – related projects

ONLY NOW

Announces

ETERNAL BINDING EP

Released

22ND MARCH 2019

A new three track EP featuring amorphous shadings of black metal / industrial & febrile kuduro rhythms

RIYL Sunn O))), Principe Discos & Zoviet France

Only Now is the project of San Francisco based producer & DJ Kush Arora. An established figure operating at the forefront of dub, dancehall, African dance and Indo-Caribbean music, Arora has carved out an eclectic body of work across a prolific discography of pioneering solo works, collaborations and remixes. Only Now represents the dimensions of a different and other underworld, exploring tribalism, industrial elements, and experimental synthesis.

Following in the wake of well received appearances on Infinite Machine and Discrepant’s fledgling imprint Sucata Tapes, Eternal Binding reprises and expands upon the heavy submergence of Arora’s prior outings as Only Now, bringing together amorphous shadings of black metal and industrial with febrile Kuduro rhythms.

Recorded between 2017 & 2019, Eternal Binding opens with The Scales, an overture that embodies the project’s sound universe with smash & run beat cycles and scorched, monumental riffs. Meanwhile The Stand adopts computer feedback, resonation techniques and feedback loops to conjure a deep, bleeding edge, ego-dissolving journey that touches on themes of time, space and existence. Concluding with Ejection, Arora acknowledges the significant influence of Berlin School krautrock and kosmische on his work – particularly Popol Vuh’s Aguirre I – as choral elements emerge midway through a revelatory finale.

Altogether Eternal Binding represents a response to profound subject matter for Arora; a contention with the human condition, the notion of our enslavement to time, the challenges of fatherhood and a desperate attempt to make sense of it all.

Fans of Bill Laswell, Nazar, Sunn O))), Principe Discos & Zoviet France take note.

Throughout his discography and as a core member of soundsystem collective, acclaimed club night and long running radio show Surya Dub, Kush Arora has been a crucial figure in championing and exploring the convergence between bass, electronics and roots music in San Francisco and beyond. Acclaimed performances at Mutek 2018 and alongside the likes of DJ Lag, Equiknoxx and Kode9 have presented a striking and immersive live show while assorted projects with Gappy Ranks, Stereotyp, Jahdan Blackkkamoore, and Dreadsquad, as well as remixes for Elephant Man, Cutty Ranks and Spoeke Mathambo, have all been marked by a broad and visionary signature, one that extends to the distinctly infernal expanses of his recent work under the Only Now alias.

EVESTUS ANNOUNCE NEW EP 'POST 18 DEPRESSION'

The Estonian industrial rock machine Evestus has announced a new EP, 'Post 18 Depression', set for a surprise release March 1st on Syndicol Music. This new EP will see the band taking their music in a new direction from their previous work, embracing a new approach to the song writing and immersing the listener in an atmospheric, aggressive and emotional release. The EP also includes a cover of 'Mad World' by Tears for Fears, made in collaboration with guitarist Matthew Setzer (Skinny Puppy, London After Midnight, Kanga, Ohgr).

"This is an impulsive and spontaneous release, some things that I just had to get out of my system right now. Everything I've ever released has been with great planning and immense attention to every detail – for once I wanted to just throw something out there that's raw and fresh – unpolished and uncensored. Most of the material is actually written this year. Inspired by my own Post 2018 depression." – Evestus

The new EP is abailable to stream below. This is an exclusive press only streaming. This is a surprise release scheduled for March 1st, so we would appreciate no announcement or reviews of the EP before March 1st.

STREAM POST 18 DEPRESSION HERE

Evestus – Everything In Here

Evestus uses unorthodox textures and haunting melodies to glue together layers of broken beats and aggressive distorted vocals, dealing with personal themes of withdrawal, self-destruction and anger.

Intense, emotional and engaging, Evestus takes the stage like every show was his last one.

The last few years have seen international touring with the likes of Ministry and Youth Code, constant work in the studio and taking their music to the international stage with the Eesti Laul Eurovision contest. 2018 saw them signing to Syndicol Music and they are currently working on a new full length album with producer Ade Fenton at the helm.

The band will be bringing their explosive stage show to UK shores next month for a handful of exclusive gigs to promote the new release:

Mar 1st – The Sussex Arms, Tunbridge Wells

Mar 2nd – Renaissance Festival, London

'The long awaited new LP from Hunter Complex features ten tracks of supreme synth goodness that are at the same time retro and totally futuristic. It’s musically rich in ideas: melodies intertwine with soaring synths and 80s style drum machines, but it never feels like a pastiche or a carbon copy of a bygone era. The hooks on this record are incredible, it’s mix of warm analog and bright digital synths are at a layer of complexity that most records in this genre can’t manage to achieve.'
