MOLOCH
‘DIE ISOLATION’
Catalogue Number: CSR210CD
Style: Black Metal / Dark Ambient
Format: CD in jewelcase
Out: Now

A new opus comes from the woods of Carpathia. It is a despairing portrayal of the souls that are lost in the winter woods. Hypnotic sounds, like a thousand blades in a dance of a winter blizzard, leaving thousands of cuts digging into the body. Heart-rending screams of freezing flesh, summoning death, dissolving within echoes on the mountains.

This album delivers cold, misanthropic and desolate mid-tempo, Nordic-influenced Black Metal, alongside melancholic Dark Ambient tracks. Crunchy distorted guitar minimalism, primal thrashing beats, and an overall raw necroish execution are reinforced by howling, tortured, grim vocals that recall the old Burzum era.

For fans of Burzum, Striborg, Xasthur, Trist, Darkthrone.

AUN “Fiat Lux” LP (76th Cycle)
KARJALAN SISSIT “…Want You Dead” LP (74th Cycle)
AUN “Fiat Lux” CD/LP (76th Cycle)
We’re glad to welcome back AUN to Cyclic Law for their latest opus! AUN’s music as always suggested forays into other dimensions, be it to imaginary worlds, industrial wastelands, through space and time, or via mind altered states. From the ominous dystopian artwork, of a city being drained of its energy by some mysterious black hole, to the first notes of the title track “Fiat Lux” we are once again transported on AUN’s otherworldly travelling path. Ever since the space industrial and power electronics of AUN’s previous Cyclic Law cult release “Black Pyramid”, the world has become even more sinister, but in contrast, “Fiat Lux” exudes even more of AUN’s melancholic hopefulness. The disintegrating chords and densely textured waves, anchored by a left field industrial pulse, invoke occult drug enhanced, future psychedelia. Created in part in their Montreal studio, these tracks were extensively performed live, prior to recording, and refined while on tour breaks in Montpellier, Barcelona and Tokyo. The energy of these cities is definitely at work in these recordings, which also features a French connection of experimental heavy hitters: Witxes, Frédéric D. Oberland and Philippe Petit have helped round out Dumais and Leblanc’ arsenal. FIAT LUX: Let there be light, from light will come darkness.
CD Edition of 500 Copies. 7 Tracks. Running Time 39.00
LP Edition of 250 Copies. 7 Tracks. Running Time 39.00 – Co-Produced with La Esencia
KARJALAN SISSIT “…Want You Dead” CD/LP/CS (74th Cycle)
Now 6 years since their last opus, we present to you the new masterpiece from one of Sweden’s most notorious act. So, Karjalan Sissit wants you dead, and after going through these new tracks you might not cease to exist but will definitely feel the blow and sheer brutality these new tracks exude. Intense, bitter and heavier than ever, this new work is to us the epitome of the Karjalan Sissit sound. It’s all still there, the pounding metallic percussions, deep angst ridden atmospheric passages and all is held together by Make Pesonen’s angrier than ever vocals. Karjalan Sissit is back, and more pissed off then ever, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
CD Edition of 1000 copies in 4 panel Digipack. 8 Tracks. Running Time 42:00
LP Edition of 300 copies in Gold Vinyl. Includes Download Code. 8 Tracks. Running Time 42:00

SIEBEN – “Lietuva EP'

Redroom Records 014 –

LINK TO BUY: http://sieben.bandcamp.com/     (Will also be widely available: Itunes, Beatport, Juno, Spotify, and 250 other sites)

On the 2 June 2015, Sieben releases “Lietuva”, the old name for Lithuania. The first two tracks of this Digital EP have both taken inspiration from there. The first, Black Moon Rise Again, was written to celebrate the lovely Menuo Juodaragis Festival. The second, Užupis, a district of Vilnius, draws inspiration from the constitution, motto, flag, and mainly the aesthetic of this self-proclaimed (Art) State.

Both tracks are lengthy, at ten minutes each, but I’ve dispensed with the restriction of 'pop song' length. Why tie myself to that? I wanted to give time for the 'top lines', the melodies and layered vocals to wash over each other, each new wave looping and dissolving the previous. What I do aims to draw you into a world. I figure that if you enjoy that world, you'll enjoy the extended journey through these songs' landscapes. Two, new, bonus tracks are included. I always try to give good measure, with what I do. I've re-worked the tracks Ogham The Blood, and Knudlustysummer, as snapshots of how they now are, ten years on from their original releases and respective albums. They're quite, quite different. DAIS RECORDS PRESENTS:
SIGHTINGS – AMUSERS AND PUZZLERS
THEIR FINAL ALBUM, OUT JUNE 9TH
FEATURING ARTWORK BY BILL NACE (BODY/HEAD)
STREAM A TRACK HERE

Amusers and Puzzlers is the new, posthumous album from New York City’s Sightings.

After the release of their well-received ninth studio album, Terribly Well, and their successful month long European tour in 2013, Sightings did the unexpected and quietly disbanded without notice or explanation.   More than 15 years in the trenches and making a mess throughout New York City, the band made more of a polarizing impact to formalized underground music that most of their peers.  Sightings would have been a national treasure if the whole country was laid to waste in Armageddon.

During the sessions that birthed Terribly Well, a complimentary album was recorded in tandem which, while not intended to be their final statement, produced the jaded epilogue from the mouth of experimental rock’s most lasting monolith.  Amusers and Puzzlers is the schizophrenic culmination of their brand of damaged rock. Isolated noise patterns shifted from Mark Morgan’s unorthodox guitar patterns sewn up from his nervous, scattered vocal phrasing.  Richard Hoffman’s stampede-like momentum on bass slammed against Jon Lockie’s drum triggers made the past couple decades crash into itself.

Limited to 500 copies with cover art/design by Bill Nace (Body/Head).

Artist and experimental music pioneer, Tom Smith (To Live and Shave in LA) has been side-saddled with the band since its inception. He writes the following about Amusers and Puzzlers:

Sightings, visual prisoners, admonish the rebuke.

Lesser steamers venerate excess; mirrors board tranquil wheels into the unseen. A Huggy Bear douche in a LETTRISME tee is still Ivanka T, reeking of suet.

“Amusers and Puzzlers” is foreshortened, a loose spray of attenuation.

Bewildered dynamics extend to celebrity furniture. Essential graphic poets superimpose blueshifted ghost stalks. “40 photos, Arden, early ’96, destructive representation report.”

No. Sightings’ “Counterfeited” is carried first on the back of its bleating, knotted in inevitability. Their “1982” projects a monumental collage of boos, in intervals. “Thirteen” strikes a black bell. “Trials of Peter” is a meadow of vapor, an opaque vacancy. “Syllabus of Errors” disciplines an inheritor. “I Steal from My House” recites the phrase “symphony world members, symphony chiseling flashes, symphony paint time,” in white foam, jackknifing.

Principal voices adorn the parting of faith; Sightings regress phonemes. “Amusers and Puzzlers” is soaked in juices.

— Tom Smith
